The below comments are part review and part helpful tips. These tips are mainly for people who are not professional plumbers.I am an engineer with a lifetime of precision manufacturing experience. I'm familiar with all the processes it would take to make this product. That being said, I'm blown away by the quality of this product!I literally wouldn't expect this level of fit and finish if the thing cost $10k, much less The incredibly smooth finish will help make for easy cleaning. By the way, never use bleach products on chrome, bleach is caustic to chrome! Not all spud type flush valves are reversible (handle right or left, depending on where you plumb the inlet water supply), this valve is reversible. Not all valves include the male adapter fitting for inlet water, this one does.Do yourself a favor and use a flat face wrench (such as a large Crescent wrench) to tighten the chrome fittings. I usually put tape on the jaws, to further protect the chrome finish. Definitely, don't be an ape and use channellocks! The product comes with a paper manual. Do yourself a favor and keep all your manuals, even if you just throw everything in one drawer. Also, write the purchase date, the install date, and the location used on the manual. After your install is complete and you're certain the unit is working correctly, use that manual and buy a rebuild kit for the valve. Also mark the rebuild kit with helpful information. Keep the rebuild kit in a cool, dry, place, away from even the slightest bit of light. I keep my parts that contain rubber in reflective mylar bags. Mylar (unlike regular zip lock bags) does not allow air exchange to occur. This will help your rubber parts to have a longer shelf-life.Keep in mind that this product (well at least the exact one I bought) is set up for a 3/4" copper pipe stub-out. Obviously, PEX or other pipe could feed that stub-out. But, keep in mind that the stub-out will heat up back to the pipe feeding it, while you solder the male adapter on. You can reduce this heating effect by wrapping a wet rag a couple inches back on the copper pipe, while you solder.

Good deal and easy to install. Costs less than our local plumbing supply too.
