Dislike now, it played amazingly never having to go super loud just practice indoors. Have it 6 months and just bam no power. I'm highly pissed thank you for stealing 400 something dollars from me

So I've had it for 30 days and I think those reviews that complain about this either are hyper critical or just had a bad start. It's a great sounding rig. It's small. It looks good and I think you'd fill any coffee house or small bar with it just fine. Great tones. And as far as I can tell the build quality looks to be good enough not to concern me. So if you're on the fence about a small rig for practice or gigs, go ahead and get it.

If you're looking at this - you're probably looking at it for the same reason I did.This little guy is spectacular for that. And for "that" i mean - a home studio piece to work with. I really think it sounds best dialed down and doing what we do at home. I'm not a bass player in real life but I wouldn't gig with it. It's not a gig amp unless you're playing your grandma's birthday party. But if you wanna lay down some demos or just play about ... this is a fantastic little piece.And - as is most important - it looks cool. Classic Ampeg vibe in a small little package, It looks super cool in the corner.

Good sound once I had applied araldite to the rear cover which was not secure in places and had air gaps. The cover vibrated even at low volume regardless of eq setting and sounded terrible. For 100w it's not as loud as I had expected compared to my Marshall MB30 (30w) and the tone not as I'd hoped. If you want deep bass the ampeg isn't for you. The excitement of receiving my first ampeg has turned to disappointment. Although it's now ok, the build quality has let it down badly. They're not the easiest of items to return otherwise I'd have sent it back. The seller however was prompt with delivery and met expectations.

If you are already pretty good with bass guitar and are thinking about playing in a band, I would not choose this amp. It sounds fine, don't get me wrong. I view this as a very nice practice amp, which is exactly what I wanted. Yes, there are cheaper practice amps - also by Ampeg - that are available. I like the look of this, as well as a head/cabinet combo.This is solid-state, and not tubes - which is a deal-breaker for some. It sounds fine to me, but others would run away from solid-state. Sure, tubes may sound richer, but they also cost a pretty penny and replacing them is an additional expense.In all - is this a killer deal? Nope. It sounds great, is compact, and allows you to experiment. Headphone jack (3.5mm) is a plus. In all, I'm satisfied with the researched purchase and have no complaints. See pictures for reference (this is about 1 foot wide and under 3 feet tall).
