Kichler wants an obscene amount for its controller and remote and this one works perfectly as a direct replacement. And the remote even works with another brand in my living room. Apparently this controller is used by several different brands. 👍👍👍

I was skeptical about this product based on low number of reviews. Plus the description actually says it is not compatible with Fanimation but the product looked and had same model number. So I took the chance. Yes, one reviewer, found it was a 7-pin and not a 9-pin. The fan I have, Fanimation Slinger V1, has same connector. Yes, the middle pin is not present but that is the GND. You simply bolt the receiver GND to the housing (if wired properly, GND is tied to metal downrod in the canopy and the whole thing should then be Grounded. BTW, my fan, although 9-pin connector, one pin was not present therefore, technically, it was an 8-pin/wire set. I hooked it up and without having to reset my controller (kept it at 'factory' setting, all DIP switches UP) it started up the fan, reversed it, etc. like before.Now, I think it could have been a bit lower in cost BUT, the fan originally was in the neighborhood of ~$300 so probably worth the cost to salvage the fan.

I had a Harbor Breeze 60” fan that is only allowed to work on the remote. The receiver is an exact replacement for my fan. The ground wire needed to be screwed into the fan housing instead of the wire bundle plug, but really no big deal. I paid about $500 dollars for the fan years ago, I’m very thankful to have it working again. Also very thankful to not have to install a whole new fan.

Ordered to replace my fan,but unfortunately I can’t get the remote to connected to receiver otherwise the product look good and exactly same as factory !
