It covers the basics, as it should. Boughtit for mum who is 81, and needed a refresher. She's been knitting since before I was born (and I'm 51). Once she found what she needed (very easy to find what you need, she was perfect. Once she's done with, I think I will borrow it. Knitting is a good skillto have.

I started with zero knowledge of knitting, and this book (combined with a few videos of specific techniques) has led me to a point of being comfortable and confident in my knitting skills. It starts off with the very basics like yarn types, sizes, labels, tools. It made it very easy for me to make my first knitting shopping trip! And the book covers a decent variety of techniques and projects, all in an intuitive order that builds on the previous sections/chapters. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to try knitting, especially if you are unsure where to start.

ci sono tante illustrazioni passo passo ma non sempre è facile seguirle e spesso cercando su youtube si trovano tecniche più semplici per fare una determinata cosa.

I don't normally take the time to write a review, even tho I do read them. But, I had to for this little book. I am truly a beginner. And a complete dummy when it comes to reading directions. I'm a "show me" kind of person. But, this little book is SOOOO easy to understand & follow. It packs a large deal of great information in such a small book. I get frustrated if I have to wade thru a bunch of, what I call "filler" directions. This is straight to the point & easy to understand wording & photos. I can't recommend this book enough. Worth ever penny!
