Basic low cost meter ideal to have around. It performs as expected and comes with a impresive and useful set of probe accesories.

The meter works good ... But the feel and operation is a little bit on the cheap side a better plastic and thicker leads would have been nice but over all it works it got the job done......

This is a nice little digital multi meter, and a great value for the price. It came on time and well packaged, I received all the parts with it. While I have not used it for the purpose I purchased it for,Which is pen testing the fuses on my truck in search of a parasitic drain on the battery, I did run a few test procedures on this meter and it appears to be functioning as it's supposed to. those are the pro's. The only con I have with this meter so far is the battery compartment for the 9v heavy duty battery included is just a hair to small. You can get the battery in it, however it's about like working on a foreign made vehicle. Tip, turn the battery to where the wires are at the rear of the compartment, push in the back of the battery first and then push in the end with the plug on it. I would highly recommend this product and this seller.

I realize that this DMM only costs around 15.99 at the time of this review, but you can get a LOT of DMM for less than 25 these days.Issues:1. build quality feels really low quality. Weighs almost nothing, cheap plastic everything2. display has poor visibility unless you are looking directly on it. At any angle, it washes out either partly or totally.3. My display shows some ghosts4. NO DIODE BEEP, which seriously affects the speed at which I can buzz through an old transistor device and check transistor junctions. If I have to stop and look at the display, I almost think the meter is worthless. WHY NO BEEP? Crazy in my opinion.5. AC BANDWIDTH is very poor. My series of photos shows, starting at 800Hz, the reading for an AC sine wave is accurate. The next photo shows 2000Hz -- still a rather low AC frequency -- and the voltage reading is already wrong -- it is slightly low. By 3000Hz the reading is seriously wrong, and by 4000Hz the reading is a joke. This is a very poor result even for a cheap modern DMM.6. The probes are very low quality, very similar to the probes that you used to get on those giveaway red DMMs back in the day at the "boat dock tool place".7. DC voltage only reads to 600v, which is not ideal for doing tube-equipment repairs. To say a few positive things about this DMM:1. The Frequency measurement performs better (with a sine wave) than many other modern cheap DMMs that I have tested. It needs around 300ma P-P to get a solid reading, which is not too bad, and it will give an accurate reading with some DC offset -- again, most modern cheap DMM's fail this test. See my photo showing an accurate reading for this, reading 8000hz at around 200ma P-P.2. The continuity function responds pretty much instantly with a positive beep. Too bad the diode test function did not use this same beep.3. the rotary function switch actually feels tight and decent, but I cant help but think this a short-term illusion based upon the rest of the build quality being so low quality in my opinion.Overall, very disappointing and not recommended even after considering the low price. If you need a cheap DMM, right now the RuoShui 205A is similar price (20 with current coupon, as of this review 10/31/2024) and for that extra five bucks, it is a much better value and has SUBSTANTIALLY better build quality in my opinion. The RuoShui 205a has flaws, too, but overall is much more DMM for the price.
