This is a luxury toilet seat that was easy to install. I like the hinges which prevents the toilet seat from slamming into the toilet.

Too many adapters and attachments make the attachment of the seat completely unstable. It looks like solid bolts in the pics, which is the specific reason I bought it, but the disc rotates and now matter how much you tighten it the seat slides all over. It’s ridiculous as the instructions tell you to make sure the disc is rotated out. Why not just build it that way and make it solid. Chucked the thing in the trash.

Bought this last year for guest bathroom that we don't use that much. This year we are doing work in primary bathroom and using the guest bathroom.The seat is too short, it doesn't cover the rim of the toilet. This causes the plastic bumpers on the bottom of the seat that rest on the rim of the toilet to be off. Less than half of the from bumpers sits on the rim of the toilet. Since the fasteners won't stay tight, once the seat shifts, it slides of the bumpers and the wood of the seat slams down on the rim.This is the correct size seat for the toilet. The toilet is round and it's a round seat, so it's not an issue with us buying the wrong size.Otherwise, it looks great and the seat itself is solid. Maybe we just go a defect. It will be great as long as you don't use it.Others have complained about the same issue.I would NOT recommend this toilet seat.

This new toilet seat just arrived last night (next-day service from Amazon), after our old solid wood toilet seat brass fittings failed, making it unusable -- with the old fittings unavailable. This new seat is more solid -- both in appearance and in fact -- than the old one. The quiet-close feature is extremely welcome, and appears to be very solid. It was easy to install, even though the directions are austere, at best (I did not use the YouTube video). The design and flexibility of the fastening fixtures is amazingly good, as is the quality. It seems essential to use the center location to place the screw, and to assemble the different parts exactly in the order shown on the installation sheet, to ensure that the seat is solidly secure. And the nut must be tightened as tightly as your hands and strength will permit. The fit and finish of this toilet seat are first class, and we feel it looks better than the solid-wood toilet seat it is replacing. NOTE: I have not tried using the other four locations on the fastener, all of which are offset, so I'm not certain my assertion that using the center hole is essential is mandatory.

We bought our house five years ago and it already had a wooden toilet seat. The toilet seat started cracking (a downside to using wooden seats), so we had to purchase a new seat. We have had this seat for a few months now, and so far no cracks! There is a protective layer on the wood to help preserve the wood. The seat cover also doesn't slam, it slowly closes. I use plant-based and nontoxic all purpose cleaner to clean the wooden toilet seat. I do not recommend using any strong chemicals (bleach or alcohol) on the wood or it may burn through the protective layer of the wood and cause it to wear out and crack quicker.
