I was initially frustrated because it wouldn't fit in the factory antenna opening on my Silverado, but the included extender/adapter was tall enough that I could get it threaded on. Unfortunately it stripped going on and will not completely tighten. I was tightening it by hand, so that's not a great sign of quality But it's on there for now and gets reception almost as well as the OEM antenna at about 1/3rd of the height. Don't know how long I'll keep it. Hopefully it doesn't fly off on the highway. Dropped 2 stars because it stripped while tightening by hand. Obviously it's not made of very high quality materials, but it was also fairly inexpensive so like always, you get what you pay for.

My original antenna got broken off didn’t feel like spending 120 for a new one this works good enough for the price get most of the channels I listen to ( the antenna broke in the car wash was listed as car wash safe

I got this smaller antenna for a 2001 Chevy Silverado because I often put a truck cover over it and this would make it so much easier to cover the truck, but I also got it because it just makes the truck look newer. I didn’t think it would work but it did as I hadn’t noticed any difference in finding radio stations on my radio. Now I do live in a major city with probably strong signals coming but I can confirm that it works just as intended. I don’t typically drive into the country so I don’t know how far it will work but for me it’s worked great. This antenna can be used as a replacement antenna or an upgrade for looks. The only issue I had is that the connection at the bottom was a little big to go into the plastic casing so I had to remove it very easily until I can make it a little bigger to fit the new antenna. If you don’t know what I’m talking about is the truck has a plastic cover in the area where the antenna goes and it has a small hole for the antenna to fit inside, when I remove my old antenna and put the new one the hole wasn’t big enough as the new antenna is fatter than the original one for my truck. So I removed that small portion of the plastic for the time being until I could find a solution.
