I always wanted to make a space to shoot baskets without needing to chase the ball when I miss (which happens often). So I set out looking for a net so I could build something similar to what you might see at a carnival basketball throwing game. The problem was getting something large, both in coverage and net size, without spending more than the project is worth. So I looked hard and long and finally found these soccer backstop nets. The price is good and the net is high quality, so it should last a long time (already lasted a year outside and still looks like the day I put it up) . It worked great for my not-as-intended application and now I'm not chasing basketballs nearly as much as I was. I'm sure it's a great soccer backstop net as well!

We used it as a backstop for our basketball hoop. Works great to keep the ball from rolling away. Good quality, worked great.

I got my first one on sale and wish I had bought both at same time. They haven’t really been truly tested yet with stopping a basketball going off cliff, but they seem like they will do the job. I’ll update as time goes by.
