This was an exact replacement for the reservoir on a PTCruiser. You will need an o ring to mount to the power steering pump. Be careful to not pinch the o ring when tightening it down to the pump, as it can cause a leak.

When I purchased this for my 2005 PT Cruiser GT, I expected a straightforward installation, and while the part was indeed the correct replacement, there were a few notable issues. The new reservoir did not come with replacement seals, forcing me to reuse the old ones. Unfortunately, this led to leaks, even though the original cracked reservoir never leaked at the seal. To address this, I had to improvise with a combination of o-rings and RTV sealant, which added unnecessary hassle and uncertainty to the installation.Another unexpected challenge was the size of the bolt heads, they were significantly larger than the original ones, raising concerns about potential clearance issues. Given the tight space and difficulty seeing between surfaces without removing the pump, I opted to use the original bolts to avoid complications.Despite these drawbacks, the replacement reservoir saves considerable time, money, and effort compared to replacing the entire power steering pump with a preinstalled reservoir. While this replacement reservoir is a cost-effective solution, be prepared for some DIY improvisation and careful consideration of bolt size and clearance. If you're up for a bit of extra work, it can get the job done, but it’s far from a perfect fit.

When replacing a power steering reservoir, the connecting tube needs a new o-ring and that was not supplied with this reservoir. I was able to find a usable o-ring. Also the supplied bolts have heads that are too big compared to the oem hardware, which I had to reuse.
