We've got a 2003 Toyota Matrix that is still going strong. Back in 2014, the window controller broke. I looked into getting the part from the dealer and it was crazy expensive, so I got one on Amazon for $49.Fast forward to 2023, the passenger side rear window stops working with the window partially down. Luckily the weather is good and having a 20 year old car means that folks aren't even tempted by an open window! I thought the problem was local to the window, but looked up some stuff on YouTube and seemed like it could be a master control problem. I remembered it was easy to replace and this replacement part was very cheap, so I decided to try it first...and IT WORKED!There were NO instructions, but I remembered it was easy, so just used the tool to pop out the controller, unscrewed the panel from the cover, unplugged it, then plugged this new one in (to make sure it worked), screwed it in and popped the whole thing back into the door. The only trick I found on YouTube is to pull the "sleeve" on the plug all the way back when you're putting it in.
