Was eagerly waiting and looking forward to receiving the part. Arrived on time, was packaged really well. Unfortunately, this did not work for me. After installation, it still opens the door about 1/3rd of the way, when I press the button again then it opens it about 90%. Meanwhile, once you press the button once, it should open the hatch and when you press it again then it should go in reverse and close the hatch. This doesnt happen with this part. If you keep pressing button, it will keep opening but wont go back in reverse as it should. I have to manually close the hatch which I never had to do even with faulty OEM part. As a reference point, The only problem I had with original part is that hatch wont open all the way, but when you press the button again, it will go in reverse and close it automatically. Furthermore, after installing this part, the button in trunk to open/close the hatch, doesnt work, although it works fine even with malfunctioning OEM part. Final note. I thought maybe once I reset the power liftgate it will be fine, but still no improvement. I did reset the power liftgate per owner's manual after installation when the part did not work properly and this step did not work. In the end, the part doesnt work as it should and actually makes matters worse after installation than how it worked with faulty OEM part. I am really disappointed.

When removing the old one, make sure you remove the top pin first, then it makes the moulding easery to revove.

Fixed the tail gate on a 2011 power assist ford edge. When your done installing , disconnect battery for 30 seconds to reset it. Then you must also cycle it a few times to calibrate it. Works great

Super easy to install. My gate was not working for over a year. It took less than 15 minutes to replace. Works beautifully.
