I've been using the AQUAROBO 819 for underwater metal detecting, and overall, I'm impressed. This unit is best suited for people doing underwater work for extended periods in shallow depths (less than 10 feet) and treasure hunters (up to 25 feet). These are the depths I have found this unit very useful. If going deeper than 25 ft, I recommend a spare lung tank because I found breathing starts getting harder at that depth. One thing to note: proper weighting is crucial. Without a BCD, I need about 12-16 lbs to stay down comfortably. With a BCD and a 7mm wetsuit, that jumps to around 20 lbs. If you're not weighted properly, you'll be fighting to stay at the bottom, which increases exertion. With exertion comes a higher air demand. Unfortunately, this unit doesn’t push out enough air to sustain you if you're breathing heavily. That said, if you're planning to dive in depths up to 25 feet for activities like metal detecting, this is a solid budget-friendly option. It does the job well for what it is. Great value for the price.

I'm a diver. I use it daily. This machine is magic. A total game changer and welcomed into my family of dive tools. I own three of them now.

UPDATE Recieved new working unit 11 Feb, your milage may vary3rd time submitting review so trying no pictures or video.Received unit on Jan 10 and charged it up overnight. Then all it would do when turned on is make a click. No motor running and no pressure. OK, fine, let's call the number on the unit for some help. NO, turns out that number goes to a warehouse worker that can not tell you anything! So then call the phone number on the website, Well it goes to the same warehouse worker. Start a chat on the website,,, a few days later I get a reply but the conversation actually takes a few days and emails. Testing done and things checked and finally on 20 Jan they say they will replace it. Now it is 29 Jan and NOT a SINGLE WORD and no replacement.

I’ve had mine out for probably close to 10 hours under water and it’s been great. I absolutely do not trust it though. I’m a certified diver and like the easy, charge it at home and bring it with you. No dive tanks needed. I’m going to pick up a spare air before I take it deeper than 10 feet just in case, and I’ll be hooking it up to my bcd as well. Going deep without the right gear and training is very dangerous. Do not buy if you don’t know what you’re doing!
