I got this swim brief to wear under my unlined board shorts (the fabric on which can sometimes be a little thin and revealing when wet). These are a nice pair of briefs and should work a treat as the Brits say. The coverage is good both front and back, while maintaining freedom of movement and range of motion. The front is lined to provide a double layer of modesty and the fabric is soft and smooth, so no complaints there. I'm typically a size 31 or 32 waist, but based on my prior experience with Speedo brand suits (for reference, I wear a size 34 in Speedo's Solar Brief), I sized up to a size 34 on this and the fit was spot on. I'm sure I could have shoehorned into a 32 in this, but the fit would have been unnecessarily snug.Only thing I'm not entirely crazy about is that Arena's "Nespola" color leans a little bit more towards peach or coral (think a sort of faded orange). Based on other reviewer photos, I was hoping it would lean more towards a standard orange than the somewhat washed out color that it is. I'd say the first photo of the suit in the plastic bag is the best representation of the actual color (at least as it appears on my screen) But that's a minor concern for me given that these won't really be on public display.

Well photographed ad with video. Brightly colored swim suit, well made. MaxLife Eco fabric is 100% polyester with 50% being reclaimed. A polyester swimsuit is the most chlorine resistant of all the swimsuit fabrics. You can expect this 100% polyester swimsuit to last 3-4 times longer than lycra. It is light, durable, and retains its color better than other materials. Unfortunately, it lacks the flexibility and comfort of spandex. The only suggestion I would have is that if you don't look like the swimsuit models, you might want to order a size or two larger because this suit doesn't have much stretch to absorb the wreckage of age. The cut of the suit allows for maximum range of motion without needing much stretch. The UPF 50+ in effect means full UV light protection as only 1/50 of the sun's UV light gets through in case you use an indoor pool. Being machine washable is a plus.

I got these swim briefs to round out my swimwear (I have normal swimming trunks, some jammers, and a 3/2mm wetsuit). However, I did not know that swim briefs have different sizing as compared to typical lowerwear sizes. Interestingly enough, per the sizing chart product image I was spot-on (I normally go with a 36 waist), however it feels a bit tight and I should have gone with a size 38 (which Amazon's size recommendation states) or even 40-42 (per the Amazon size chart). That said, other than the tight fit, they are comfortable and help to minimize water drag. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to wear them much yet due to the cold, but I do look forward to wearing them a lot more during the summer when I do my laps during the week! I do really like that they are chlorine-proof as well, which will come in handy when hopping into the pool multiple times a week later in the year.Overall, these swim briefs seem to be well-made, and I can't wait for the warmer weather so I can make use of them often!
