Good and bad. They are well made & attractive looking. They are easy to screw on/put on, but I have tons of experience screwing on body jewelry. I have standard first earring holes at the bottom of my lobes that were done 35 years ago in a department store. I've worn earrings my whole life. These earrings are just the tiniest bit thicker so that I found it a bit painful to put through my standard size holes. I used a little coconut oil to lube them. After wearing them all day (10+ hours) I removed them because my ears hurt. I couldn't wear them the next day because of the soreness. It's the same feeling as when you are gauging your ears by stretching the lobes.

These are fantastic! One of them didn’t screw in but I switched them and they are just fine. What a stylish set. I thought they might be too thick but they are just perfect and I have normal gauge ear piercings for anyone wondering.

I did not realize that both side unscrew, and since this is externally threaded it did cause some irritation as I was trying to force the curved bit into my piercing. However, I have since discovered that both the long spear portion and the shorter stud portion are independently unscrewable from the bar. I wear these every day, though they are uncomfortable at night. Good for daytime use.
