I really can't find anything negative to say about this scope.Went right on the mount that came with the telescope. It took me about four minutes to adjust.Use a low power eyepiece during day light, sight something a mile or two out like a house or a hill or a flag pole top.Put it in to the center view of your telescope, then align and adjust your finder scope on the same object you have centerd in the scope and you are there. The Lazer finder that came with this scope was o.k.....but with dimmer objects I find it better to use this finder as it justs work better than the naked eye when finding star clusters or dim objects....and works really good on planets too.I don't understand the negative reviews....but if you don't have a standard size dove tail mount on your telescope I guess it could be a problem. There is a list of scopes this finder will work on in the discrption section of this ad for the scope......

I have been an amateur astronomer for over 40 years and believe me when I tell you that this product is ok.The only criticism is the cost which in my opinion is not justified for the topology of this lens but the overall quality is more than acceptable. The mount with vixen standard fitting is well made metal and the surface treatment is excellent. The bayonet mount is perfect and fully compatible with this standard.Metal not plastic, old school and quality mechanical construction. The rubber gasket has always been like this and has always had this quality even for much more expensive products and from well-known manufacturers.Anyone who complains about this aspect does not have much experience, so do not worry because the spare parts are really very cheap and you can always find a spare rubber ring of the right size. You can use a Vaseline if you want to avoid cracking the rubber of the ring but it's really not necessary. The optical quality is very goodBoth lenses have good anti-reflection coating, the image is clear and contrasty and focusing is not a problem.Viewing through the fixed eyepiece is always relaxing. The cross is not illuminated, but do you really think this is included in a product of this level? These optical finders have always been like this, if you want the cross with illumination choose a different model. The screw system for adjusting the optical aiming is problem-free.The optical alignment is stable and remains stable. This really is not a problem and it is so simple to proceed with a new optical alignment that you do not have to worry. If you want to achieve perfect optical alignment gradually use eyepieces that offer higher magnifications so as to reduce the optical alignment error. The product is promoted for me, I like it and the only thing I criticize is the price which in my opinion should be lower. It's up to you to choose the right model for your needs.

This finder is OK and I can make it work but the view field is reversed. Wish the write-up had been a bit more clear.

Just got this and so far I am not impressed. The front of the scope is not supported and wobbles in the mount. There was an o-ring included that I would assume is there to hold up the front but it is too small. It is also a cheap black o-ring of the type that will dry up and crack within a few months anyway. I will need to print a TPU grommet to support the front before I can use it.

I’m going to give this a not-perfect review of 4 stars until I get some more time with it. I wanted to share some tips however since mine didn’t come with any instructions at all.Mount the bracket with the smaller opening facing forward and the larger opening (with the screws) back towards the user. The mount actually has 2 screws and one spring loaded pin. Mount the bracket such that the spring loaded pin faces downward. This at least was the best experience I had. This kit will come with a rubber band of sorts that fits in a small groove around the center the the finder. When sliding the finder back into the bracket this rubber band will fit perfectly into the smaller opening of the bracket creating a tight hold that the finder will pivot on while being adjusted. You have pushed it far enough when the spring loaded pin clicks into a larger groove towards the rear of the finder. Now with the finder in the bracket, with the rubber band holding tight. and the finder resting on the spring loaded pin the adjusting was very very very easy. With the rubber pivot point and the pin the finder will probably be pointing very mush downward. Just slowly tighten the two screws up top until the finder is aiming perfectly. Having the spring loaded pin and the rubber pivot point makes it so one screw pushes it up and left and the other pushes it up and right. Find the sweet spot.I found this finder and bracket to probably be tight enough for a session of stargazing but not super tight. I plan on not trusting the finder stays aligned between sessions. But it’s so easy to align that I’m not concerned about it. My last finder you would tighten all 3 screws so tight that next time I got the scope out it was still aligned well enough. The image is clear and bright. This is so far a huge upgrade from the 5x25 that comes with the budget scopes.
