I've found this low profile double-arm microphone boom mount to be quite amazing! It's sturdy and versatile.I started out with overhead booms and I really liked how they reduced the clutter on my desk and lower airspace. But I find them really annoying for recording "talking head" instructional videos. I've tried a few low profile mounts but didn't like any mostly because they clutter my desk and take up a lot of lower airspace (need clear space to swing the arms, etc). This boom has those same limitations but it offers features that make the disadvantages worth dealing with.I particularly like being able to mount my external camera monitor and my Blue Yeti and then position them so I can set up my shots and then record without having to get up and down multiple times or need a recording assistant.

This thing has lots of position options available with lots of attachment options included. Connect your webcams, microphones and all that.

I have a mic boom arm holder for my microphone. Since the boom tends to have arms that stick up, the arm interfere with my view of one of my monitors. So I was looking for something that could hold my mic without the boom getting in the way of my monitors. The ULTRARM Low Profile Mic Arm fits the bill and has some extra features that are very nice. Using this low profile, my mic arm lies close to the top of my desk instead of sticking up in the air. With this profile I have a good view of my screen. The bonus is that there is a second shorter arm that can be used for a number of different purposes. I have a soundboard installed on a tablet for sound effects that I use during online virtual D&D sessions. I had to buy a tablet holder that could be screwed into the attachment on the second arm. But once done, the tablet was easily accessible. Another possible use is to attach a video camera. The second arm has a screw mount that fits most cameras. The better webcams also have a tripod mount that fits the screw mount on the second arm. Another nice thing is that the arms do fold up and away so if you don't want them in front of you it's pretty easy to get them out of the way. I was a worthwhile acquisition for me.

I recently picked up the ULTRARM Low Profile Mic Arm, and I’m really impressed with how it performs. The black design looks sleek and fits well with my desk setup. Setting it up was super easy—everything you need is included, and the instructions are clear, so I had it ready to go in no time. The mic arm is sturdy and holds my microphone securely without wobbling, even during intense podcasting or streaming sessions. The extension arm and webcam adapter are great features, making it versatile for different setups. I also appreciate the cable management system, which helps keep everything neat and organized. For the price, this mic arm offers fantastic value. It’s quiet, durable, and sturdy, with no issues with noise or movement while I’m recording. If you’re looking for a high-quality, affordable mic stand, this is a great choice!

There’s no question that this arm assembly is well built. And, in the right setup, it will be very effective. It can give you mounts for a good quality mic, LED lights and webcam, all at the same time. The movement of the arms is smooth with just the right amount of resistance. The mounting hardware is very good with multiple mounting screw sizes.I have tried multiple times over the last few weeks to try to get it to work for me.But, the problem for me is that unit is designed to mostly go low on your desk with some ability to raise an arm at one pivot point. in an environment shown on the website, this will work very well. But, for me, with multiple monitors and speakers, there’s no room for a low boom. I’m afraid I need the traditional up-and-over articulated arm to get over my monitors. This is a good arm that I can recommend - IF you have the right configuration and room on your desk to accommodate it.
