There are very few portable gate options, and no others I found that fold up as small as this. Folded it’s about the size of a camping chair in a bag.It is the next purchase I’ve made for traveling with my greyhounds, since when we travel I have very limited extra space for gear. However, if my greys ever escaped a hotel room I’d likely never see them again. This gate gives me peace of mind having a little “airlock” to get in and out, and help secure them should someone open the door.Easy to set up and tall enough to keep my dogs in. It isn’t walk through so you do have to take it down to get to the other side unless your legs are long enough to step over. The middle is mesh but keeps my non-destructive dogs in just fine. If you had dogs that would tear it or go through it this isn’t a good option.

I did not buy this product for a baby. I bought it for my cat who recently hurt his back and I need to make sure he does not jump on furniture, tables, his cat tree etc. The gate is to keep him out of the main living area where there are many things for him to jump on. The opening is 54” wide and other gates would not expand far enough unless I wanted to put permanent hardware on the wall. This gate attaches so easily and it looks nice in the room. Once my cat is better I can take it down, put it in the handy carrying bag and store in any closet.

I was looking forward to this product, sadly the product was damaged during the first day when I tried opening it! I read the instructions, but it wasn’t made clear that you had to watch out if the fabric snagged on the joints or sides. It should have warned their customers to properly place the fabric over the right areas before unfolding it into a square, checking to make sure it wasn’t stuck! Where I had an issue was unfolding the gate out of the ‘v’ shape which I had to put force onto it - I also didn’t know how much force I had to apply as well! There was no mention of these things to keep in mind of this product since there are parts that extent and joints that the fabric can get stuck on. I don’t know what to do, I never got a chance to use it and I love products that are fold-aways too!!Be careful when buying this, that this doesn’t happen to you! I’m not saying don’t buy it - I’m warning others to be brought to attention that this can tear if the fabric is stuck on a part of the gate’s bars.I won’t be rating this very well since I did not use it.

This was my mistake when I bought it. I only give it 4 stars because I wish it had a door, but I understand this type of gate may not be able to handle it. Also, when it's not at it's full length, the fabric sags and it's unsightly and annoying. However, baby loved messing with it for some reason. lol I don't really know the purpose of a gate if it doesn't have that function. While I used it, it does stretch out pretty far. It's great if you want to move out around to different areas as needed. I almost kept it, but really much rather have a door.
