I was very impressed on how well these blinds keep out the heat of the sun. All while letting in some light. Great product. Would definitely buy again.

They are more light weight than the last pair I got at JC Penney. Not sure if this makes any difference to the quality.

This is the 3rd set of these blinds I have purchased. I really like them. They look good, are easy to install, and I have not had any issue with them working for the last couple of years. The most recent time I wanted to install one, I ran into a problem. My window was about 2 inches too big an opening for the size, and 1 inch too small an opening for the next size up. I could either purchase another company or figure out how to cut the blinds to size. I could not find anything detailed on how to do this, so I looked around and pulled together a bunch of information. I wanted to help out anyone else who needs to do this, so attached are pictures of what I did, and I will describe how to do this.Start by measuring how much you want to cut off. I would leave about .25 to .5 inches of space on either side. So you want that little bit extra. In my case, the blind is 1 inch too long, and I added an extra 0.5 inches for each side, so I needed to cut off 2 inches total. You want to do this evenly on both sides of the blind. In my case, I want to remove 1 inch from each side. I removed only the plastic wrap to expose just a little more than the amount of blind I needed to cut. This kept the blind held together as I worked. I removed the end caps from the blinds. With a pencil (no pens to avoid ink bleeding) I marked the line to cut. I slide the metal frame piece down to expose just the blind material. With a sharp straight-edge knife (not a serrated blade) I cut through the blind material. I then moved the frame back into place. I used a band saw, to cut the end of the frame off. This was done separately from the blind material on purpose. The saw produces a lot of heat that can damage the blinds material, or melt it. This is why I only wanted the saw to cut the metal frame. I repeated the same steps for the other side of the blinds. Once cut to size, I place the end caps back on and followed the included instructions to install the blinds. I still had to separate the blinds a little due to the cutting, but it only took a second. As you can see in the last image, it worked out great.

Easy to install. We are hoping that the blinds hold up for several years. Very minor complaint is that sometimes when “up” one side of the blind can sag. Details bother me, so I find I have found a way to readjust if one side sags. My husband doesn’t notice the “sag”.Wish they came in more sizes. Ordered another company’s product to fit other sized windows but had to send back. Product and the installation system were inferior.
