This square wood tray has a beautiful, minimalist design that looks great on an ottoman or coffee table. The wood finish adds a nice touch to any decor, and it’s a stylish way to organize small items like coasters, candles, or a few drinks.However, while it works well for light serving, I wouldn’t trust it to carry anything too heavy. The construction doesn’t feel the most sturdy, and I’d be cautious about overloading it, especially for outdoor use. If you’re looking for something primarily decorative or for light serving, it’s a great option—but if you need a more durable tray for carrying multiple dishes or heavier items, you may want to consider something more solidly built.

Speaking as a woodworker, many of the solid wood products I've ordered from Amazon have been pretty shoddily made and finished. This tray is an exception. The corner miters are square and tight, the tray is flat, and the finish is smooth and looks great. The only issue I had was that one of the sides was slightly bowed. I also prefer chamfered edges, but I get that it would drive the cost up. YMMV, but I'm happy with the tray I received.

This tray looks nice but I wouldn't trust carrying very much on it. The amount of wood at the top of the handle is 5/16" (barely more than 1/4") and the bottom of the tray appears to be 3/16" inch. That's not a lot of wood for holding weight. I would definitely NOT put 5 big glasses of cocktails on it, as shown in the pics.The cut-outs for the handles are not well sanded and have sharp edges. The whole tray is full of sharp edges. I wouldn't get this for a household with small children or pets.I'll use it as a level surface on top of my cushioned ottoman, to hold beverages or remotes. I won't use it to carry things.It is very pretty with the variations in the wood (strips that are glued together, I hope with resin). If you're OK with paying the price for a mostly decorative item, then it's good for that!

Looks nice at first glance, but product needs better quality control. Mine came with a sizeable crack along the bottom, and the construction is mediocre. You can see along the glue along the seams and the corners are not neatly aligned. I wouldn't trust this to hold too much weight, with the huge crack along a thin bottom. If you are just using it for decor, with items setting on it, it might be okay. I feel they are asking too much. I own several acacia wood items (trays, bowls, etc) and this is not what I consider top quality.
