Wrong item as packaged by manufacturer but very very quick replacement! Item inside manufacturer's package was 12vdc instead of 220v.

Used this to handle the start capacitor relay. Reliable, consistent, easy to use,, works great. Just use a big contactor to handle actual start caps, this is only 5 amps. Seems very well built. Second set of contacts can drive another contactor to ensure that the 3 phase isn't online until the idler is spun up.An interesting behavior: this relay seems to require vertical orientation for best function. If mounted horizontally and used to control a power relay (eg, as part of a rotary phase converter build) the power relay sometimes triggers when power is turned off. This appears to be a timing problem coused by the relative inertia in the H3Y vs inertia in a main power relay (which is slower), causing the controlled power relay to occasionally and very briefly trigger on shutdown, which is unexpected and disconcerting- though probably harmless.

used one to temporarily engage a motor start capacitor . . .through a larger "contactor" module . . .0-5sec is a good range of time for this function
