I bought 2 one for me and one for my husband. Both rusted after 2 dives. Frustrating I missed the return window! They will hardly retract back in, so basically garbage. If allowed I would have gave no stars!

We bought 2 of these for my husband and I to take on our most recent dive trip to the Maldives. Early in the trip I loved mine. The retraction force is perfect & it came in handy to watch some garden eels, nudibranchs, and other fun creatures, but on week 2 we started to notice the coating on the retractable wire coming off and by the end of the trip, my husband's had broke (wire rusted through) and my coating was all gone and the majority of my wire was rusted.

I saw another diver with one of these and thought it was a good idea. We were drift diving and the current was rather strong. He used his tickle stick to anchor himself in the sand. I wish I had had one. Now I do.I like that it has a retracting lanyard. It also appears that the cord on the lanyard might be useful for more than just keeping the clip attached to the lanyard.

So I got this for two reasons, one is to point at things to see in the water. The other is to use it to bang on my tank to make noise when I want to get another’s attention. This works for both scenarios. Easy recommend.
