Laptop has been brought back to life!! Installation was a breeze! Seems like a great deal for the price point. I recommend cycle charging the battery a few time so it's fully optimized. I'll post an update in a few months time to see how this battery is holding up

Apple products are surely of high quality but overall costs for purchases or maintenance/repair are disproportionally expensive.This battery seem to offer the same (at least so far) quality as an original and with a fraction of the cost. Installation was easier than expected after following a few online tutorials and the kit and battery feel professional and well made

I was pleased to have been asked to test this Macbook Air A1466 Battery Replacement.I did an internet search for "MacBook air A1466 Battery Replacement" and found there were loads of step-by-step videos. I watched 3 or 4 and found there was a good consensus of what to do.First bonus - this kit comes with the key screwdriver, without which you simply can't get the macbook open! Once inside the case you need a second screwdriver - again provided.The old battery came out easily and this replacement was a good fit. Don't forget to take the clear plastic protection off the battery to stop it overheating!One video said this could all be done in 5 minutes, but I took near enough half an hour as I double checked each step and went slowly.Once closed the machine started as the battery was pre-charged. I have topped it up and understand that it needs to go through a few charge & recharge cycles before it reaches maximum capacity.Going to the "About this Mac" drop down, and then clicking "system Report" and then "power "showed that the battery was recognised and was new. Today at work it behaved as if it was new, going 5 hours before discharging. UPDATED - NOW, several charging cycles lter it is still working well.Cons 👉 none that I can see - I saved loads of cash compared with a trip to the official store, and although I was slow I do feel confident that I could do it again in half the time. I'm no tech guru, so if I can do this (with YouTube help) them probably you can too.If this fails inside 2 years I will be back to update my review, but for I like this - and would be happy to get it again - so I rate this as 5-stars and great value too!Delivery was quick - it came the next day which is great service.
