My son's review:I had this installed in a 2007 CTS-V along with a brand new navigation head unit (JVC KWNT800HDT, also purchased here) and with the exception of the terrible mounting straps that come with it I couldn't be happier.Pros - Everything about this performs as advertised. My Head unit comes with 6 preset configurations and 4 custom EQ settings along with a sub and bass boost (and I love BASS, both are cranked to the max) and this thing booms. Shakes the car, I've had it uncomfortably loud and not heard any distortion to speak of, just brain melting bass. I've had to secure my license plate to keep it from rattling. I was honestly shocked at how great it sounds, easily the equal of at least a 10 or 12 sub. I honestly wasn't planning on putting this much sound in the car, I was only looking to add a little more umph to the stock bose setup as I live in a quiet family neighborhood and my cruising days are behind me, but I was pleasantly surprised and get head turns from people on the street.-Mine was professionally installed so i can't comment on the ease of install, but it fits wherever you have room to shove it. Any standard amp wiring kit should do, will install just like any other amp.Cons - the straps are the only thing really. They don't stay taught at all and will just pull right off. For the moment I put the box this shipped in sideways to brace it against one side of my trunk with a folded blanket in between so it wont go anywhere, this weekend I'm planning on buying a couple of $5 cinching straps and finding a spot to lock it in from the rear seat access. Besides that, no complaints at all.Sounds great, looks great, is great, if you're on the fence GET ONE you wont be disappointed.

I have known that Bazooka makes good quality, and long lasting products. I currently have the 8 inch 50 watt model in another one of my vehicles, and my oldest brother has a 10 inch 100 watt model. Both models are well over 5 years old and still work perfectly, i knew when i bought this model, i was going to have very high standards for it, needless to say, they have been met.I knew i wanted one with more power, since i have heard the 100 watt model before and it was nice, but my SUV is a lot bigger than the small hatchback i heard it in, so i purchased the 250 watt model. My needs were met!! i run about 3/4 on the gain, and a 100hz crossover. wired off of a 10 gauge kit, with a remote turn on.I have mine pointed in the corner as instructed for best performance, i have not tried any other positions but it makes sense that this would work best. The straps that came with it are good, but it still wiggles around a bit and i will need to find a better way to secure it.The sound is perfect, plus this model has a feature where you can hook up another subwoofer to this amplifier and it will power it!! There is a very small section about the details of this feature listed, so i took the liberty of researching this more. According to Bazookas website, you can power another Subwoofer with the hi-level outputs (BROWN and YELLOW wires on the 14-pin Molex plug) with a 2 ohm load and is delivering a total of 300 watts. I will be trying this feature out soon when i buy another passive (slave) bazooka tube!

Didn't even last 6 months. The first one I received was DOA. The quality of the product is just not good. I was also not pleased with the sound. I have a BMW 330xi and I was looking for a nice mature bass sound, nothing obnoxious and this system didn't suffice. With an open trunk it sounded great, but with a closed trunk I would only hear it with certain songs. Could be the car but it sucks that I paid a good chunk of change to have it dead in 6 months. BTW it was professionally installed. I had it tested and the amp was no good. :( Don't waste your time!

I cannot put into words how much this thing surpassed my expectations. I have had smaller and less powerful bass tubes before so I expected something like those. This thing really does such a good job that people think I have a box with a couple of 12's in the trunk.I actually had a much higher end system priced out and was almost ready to pull the trigger, but I'm trying to save money (and space and weight in the car) so I begun looking into these. I like the fact that it is removeable if I want the entire trunk space available. The sound is awesome and unexpected for this size of sub/enclosure/power. It sounds great down to 30 hz which is my sweet spot in base. I highly recommend getting the remote for better control of the bass from the drivers seat. It does not have a bass boost centered around a certain frequency like they normally do, but rather a level control (like an amp gain adjust) and a low pass crossover control. Both are handy when you have a song with lots of bass that you need to turn it down or a song with higher bass that you need to adjust the crossover.Normally when I'm by myself or with one passenger I do leave the seatback down that is directly in front of the tube. It looks nice plus it sounds better. I did tests at 30/40 hz and there is a 3.5 Db loss in sound level when I close up the rear seat so I prefer it down. They recommend that you "corner load" the sub but honestly I prefer to have it facing forward. The way I have it mounted I can switch it around easily if I want to anyway. During install make sure you leave plenty of extra length to all the cables (RCA, turn on, power, ground, remote) so that you can move it around if you ever want/need to. I hid all the extra cable under the rear carpet for a clean looking install.
