I'm rather impressed with this thing, even though I wasn't expecting to be, so I thought I'd better write a review. I originally bought it to hold an underwater camera housing during scuba dive trips, on a rocking skiff full of salt water and hot sun. I figured it wasn't too expensive and I could throw it out afterward if I had to. The camera housing needs padding to stay undamaged on the boat, and needs to be zipped up so it won't get damaged too badly by outside forces. I also used the bag to carry the ~15lb rig to and from shore, disembarking into the surf with it. The bag got soaked externally with salt water but the inside stayed untouced. The camera housing was wet and all I had to do was wipe out the shiny interior after use. The bag didn't tear or snag inside. Daily, it dried out - and kept going for two weeks of this treatment. I thought we were all done and was debating whether to pack up the bag or donate it to someone. But then, on the way home from the diving trip, I learned that we'd have to do more. There was a spring tide. That meant I had to pack a bunch of heavy electronic equipment into the bag, zip it, and carry it on my back, using the flexible strap design, across 200 yards of hip-deep water at low tide, hoping to heaven it really would be waterproof and the straps wouldn't break on me. It was the only "dry" bag I had that was big enough, and I really wasn't sure it was going to do the job. But I had no other choice and set out wading with it across the flats. Turns out, the bag was waterproof, it didn't give any sign of breaking or coming apart, and it sailed through this test with flying colors. It had earned a place in the luggage by then, but in a big plastic bag to keep the salt-water-funk from contaminating the rest of my stuff. When I finally got it home, I sent it through the washing machine on cold, using the "hand wash" cycle, and hung it to dry. Now it smells good again and it's ready for normal grocery use. Trust me, if it can survive that kind of cruelty, it can do a fine job carrying the groceries!

Very nice. Have not yet tried it. Interior material seems like it may do better than the old one. More flexible.

Nice bag but it measures 20" wide at top (not 22" as stated) and 16" tall (not 17.5" as stated) and 13" wide at bottom (not 14" as stated). Two deep exterior pockets are nice to have (one open, one zip) and the insulation is thick.
