It’s not really the intended use, but I used this to make replacement flat/tension springs for some century old mortise locks in my house which had broken. The springs are just flat pieces of approx 20-gauge steel bent into a curve so this seemed like a perfect replacement and the new springs work great. I cut the metal with a Dremel metal grinder attachment, and bent it with lineman’s pliers. It was easy to work with, but proper tools are definitely needed for cutting it.

It is what it says. It is VERY stiff. I tried gluing it with superglue but it didn’t stick well, though I don’t think that’s a recommended use. Did I mention it is VERY stiff? (For its dimensions). It comes in a coil. Getting a piece to be really straight needed tools beyond mine. (Which aren’t metalworking).
