I bought this a couple of years ago, I have used it regularly for running a projector and found it to be really reliable. The cable is thick and strong and the mouldings seem robust, the grub screws seems weak to look at but I have never had an issue over the hundreds of times I've used it over the years. There are no issues with moving laptop, as the picture does not break up as I have had on similar cheaper cables.I Would highly recommend this cable if you want to connect a MacBook Pro, or iMac onto an external monitor or projector. Just bear in mind you will need a separate 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack plug to go from the Laptop/ Mac to the Projector sound input or to the internal speakers in the external monitor. But for use on a projector to show slide shows its great. I use it on a projector and then use a 3.5mm to (Red/White) phono audio jack to a surround sound system and this works great. As a Mac user over the last 20 years I would recommend this cable for use on a Mac as reliable, strong and robust and great value for the money.

La mejor forma de conectar mis antiguos monitores VGA a una antigua tarjeta de vídeo con puertos miniDP. Sin cables viejos ni adapatadores. Límpiamente de la tarjeta (miniDP) al monitor (VGA).

I bought this to connect my Mac mini, which has Intel HD 4000 graphics, to my 1920 x 1080 23” Eizo monitor.I had been using an HDMI cable to connect the Mac mini to the Eizo thinking this would give the best display but strangely the best option available was 1600 x 900, which I found resulted in rather fuzzy, unsharp text which was causing my eyes to tire very quickly.I did some research and discovered that the Intel 4000 graphics does not support high resolutions when connected to a monitor via an HDMI cable, and that a Mini Display Port to VGA Adaptor was what was required. I had been completely unaware of this. Fortunately such an adaptor had been supplied with the Mac mini so I used this with a spare VGA cable I had and when I rebooted the resolution was correctly set to 1920 x 1080. Excellent. What was not so good was that I now had a clunky arrangement of a Mini Display Port to female VGA adaptor with a male VGA plug attached to it hanging out of the back of the Mac mini and the weight of this untidy connection was in danger of pulling the tiny Mini Display port plug out of the Mac.What I really wanted was a length of cable with a Mini Display port plug at one end to go directly into the Mac mini and a VGA plug at the other to go directly into the monitor. I looked at various such cables on Amazon and decided to go for this Benfei model. I have so far only used it for a few days but am delighted to say it appears to be well made and works perfectly in giving me my desired 1920 x 1080 resolution. No more tired eyes!!
