I didn’t think there was much of a chance that these would keep my wacky rigs weedless on the lower Colorado River where I fish. We have a heavy current and a lot of weeds that don’t help keep your tackle around for too long. But these hooks are doing the job admirably, with the only caveat being that I do have to reset the nylon guard every couple of casts. Small price to pay for keeping my gear. Hooks came sharp and I haven’t lost a fish on them yet, so I would rate these as a buy and I’ll be buying more in the future.

Better the any metal weed guard and allows for a better hook set.

I purchased the 2/0 size hook and they are perfect for 4" and 5" senko's. The hook itself is stout and have no worries about it failing especially on the correct gear for wacky rig fishing. However, the weed guard attached to this hook is terrible. It constantly comes undone and after reattaching it after every cast you might as well rip it off. I gave it 4 stars because overall it's a great hook, but they completely failed on the weed guard.
