These socks are cute and fit true to size. Lightweight and thin, they are very comfortable and soft. Good quality and retain shape and color after washing.

I bought these for my mom after she broke her hip. The marble, hardwood, and tile flooring throughout different rooms of the house are like landmines just waiting for her to slip up and make her situation even worse. So these socks were exactly what the doctor ordered.The little silicon dots line a large area on the sole of the socks so it allows for more than ample surface area where they make contact with the floor. The dots are securely attached and haven't worn down or ripped off after numerous washes. And they're decent material so they definitely create adequate friction.The cloth is soft and she's been very comfortable in them. She also enjoys the colors as well as the little frilly edge they have along the top.Whatever reason you may have for buying socks with this kind of lining on the bottom, I don't think you can go wrong with these. They've helped give her a tremendous amount of confidence with every step she takes, especially those dubious-feeling steps where she needs to twist awkwardly or shift her weight to one side to avoid the shooting pain she's currently feeling.Thumbs up on these for sure.

I'd like to have given these 4 1/2 stars. Because these are cute socks, they fit well, and I don't see any construction defects. I like the grips on the bottom; they should keep me from sliding on our wood floors and stairs. The colors are nice and the ruffled cuffs are sweet. My only gripe is that I ordered them because they are supposedly 90% cotton, but these socks do not feel like cotton, even after washing. I find socks made of other materials uncomfortable and tend to kick them off when I try to wear them. It's possible that because of the way these are made, it will take multiple washings for them to have the comfortable softness of cotton, but time will tell. Meanwhile, I'll give them a shot, and maybe wear them over other socks. If you don't need to have cotton on your feet, go for it. They are otherwise nice socks. Edit: After wearing these socks for a few months (no, not the whole time: regular washings, I promise!), I've decided that I really love these socks and they probably are cotton, just the kind that needs a few washing to soften. I think they are actually very well made.
