I bought this to replace another glass kettle with LEDs that is not available anymore. It looks good, is fairly sleek and has a small footprint. Heats up water as it should and pretty quickly. The beeps it makes are not excessively loud. When pouring water out with the lid on, the built-in scale filter is quite fine and doesn't let a lot of water through at one time. If you pour too fast, it can get a little splashy. The color-changing LEDs are really just a gimmick on this kettle. When you set the temp on my old one, it would change color, and once set, it would keep that color until that temperature was reached. With this kettle, you set the temperature, and no LEDs light up. The LEDs change colors as the water reaches the different temperature settings, which could be fun for some, but functionally, this feature seems useless. I do like that it displays the current temperature of the water. If you heat water unattended and come back to it after it's already heated, you can see how much the water has cooled off and decide if you need to reheat.

I was in need of a new kettle. I use the boiling water to make pour-over coffee. BTW, if you haven’t tried making coffee that way, you are missing out.Anyway one of the key components of a good pour over coffee system is the kettle. The old one had served me well but it was time to go. It had temperature regulating problems.I bought this one because the old kettle is no longer made—such a shame. So looking around for an alternative, I found this kettle. I liked that it has the Betty Crocker name on it… not some unknown name. Most importantly, it is able to display the water temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.Surprisingly, it is hard to find a kettle that can display the water temperature in Celsius.This one can.Now for the kettle’s other nice attributes. It is pretty quick to boil water. It has a ring of multi-colored LEDs, located at the base of the kettle, inside of the pot. The location allows LEDs to color both the glass and water. The LED ring starts out as light blue. Once the water hits a certain temperature—I think that it is at 140C—the LED ring will change to a different, unique color, every additional 10 degrees C, until at 90C the ring turns red and stays red until the water boils. At 100C, the LED light and heating element turn off.At first I thought that the colors were kind of a gimmicky thing. But the color scheme is consistent. So, from across the kitchen, you can glance at the displayed color and estimate when it will be ready to boil.I have had this for a couple of months now. So based on its performance, I would definitely buy it again. If you need a kettle, I do recommend that you give this one a try.

My son talked me into getting an electric tea kettle because we are both tea crazy and accurate temps are mandatory for good brewing. I now use this several times a day. For cooking, I'll measure out the amount I need, get it boiling (it's so fast) and pour the hot water directly into the recipe. Saves so much time over waiting for the stove to bring water to a boil. The color lights are unnecessary, yet so cool. I wouldn't buy a kettle again without this feature. The LCD continuously and precisely displays the current temperature and that's really all you need. I love this kettle.

Really kind of nice. Larger volume than some. Easy to use. Heats quickly. I like how the colors change as it gets hotter. I'm going to try using it to make Ramen.

Saw reviews mentioning wobbly kettle. Decided to take my chances . Kettle is used several times daily. Morning tea. Then around the clock to prepare baby formula. Easy to use, even when your half asleep and need to reheat water for formula quick. Good display. Shuts off every time when reaches max temp, never any issues. The “wobbly “….it moves a bit on its base, but not to some point that it seems unsafe. I would say that I recommend. ****UPDATE**** 2/25/24.....Would definitely buy again. Used daily, no issues.
