I ordered an $40 iron (different brand) with good reviews and by the second time I used it I hated the ceramic soleplate and digital screen. I ordered this Black & Decker stainless steel soleplate iron and love it. It glides over fabric and is light weight. I never put water in my iron and prefer a spray bottle with distilled water for removing wrinkles, so I can't review the steam features. I prefer the manual dial for the heat setting over a digital screen. This iron heats fast, irons well, is a great value for the price, and I'm very pleased with it.

I received this iron today what a disappointment, it looks good but i cannot use it because the plug is not a three pin plug it is a two pin (see photo)I want to send it back but it says i can only send by UPS pick up point and as i don’t drive or go out much this is very hard for me to do. So if you live abroad and want a two pin iron this looks good for youIn the end i rung customer service and got a full refund.

Clearly I have held on to my old iron way too long. I am very pleased with the light weight and stainless steel surface plate. The iron heats up quickly and provides smooth results. Love it! Who knew ironing could be fun?
