The problem with buses is that most of them are junk, and it's hard to know exactly how solid of a bus you're going to need. And it only matters at the extreme. Yeah, these are overkill. Heavy, too. Way overpriced. But decent quality (as one would expect from this brand), and not a lot of choices in the "decent quality" department to choose from. Seriously, how hard is it to sell a decent piece of metal with some screws in it? You'd think this was rocket surgery.

These bus bars are SUPERB. They have a lot of copper in them, as they are a bit heavy. I purchased the 12 x 3/8 for an extremely good price here on Amazon. Well built, and you can combine two for a negative and positive bus on one bar. The covers are semi-clear and very durable. As shipped they snap on. I will say, they are not easy to remove with just your bare hands. It appears you can also use screws to attach the covers. Extremely little to no resistance across the bar and from the farthest terminals; my multimeter had trouble detecting any.The larger terminals are perfect for interconnecting batteries in parallel and connecting large inverters, while the smaller ones are great for attaching small meters, direct-voltage lighting, or accessories. And at 1000 amps, I have yet to be able to throw enough amps at it to even come close to its limits.I use these in a solar system as a default point of connection for my battery bank, charge controller, inverter, and for lighting/accessories. These have quickly become the very heart of the system as all power passes through these.Highly recommended.
