Bought this battery pack for my new Canon XA11 video camera. Works basically exactly like the original pack from Canon. But this one came with a battery protector cap. This is cheaper than a Canon battery and you get a free protector cap to go along with it... I'll say this one is better in my opinion.

This item actually saved me. I was about to buy a brand new battery from B&H for $150.00 so I did some research on my canon vixia hf g30 and found out that it stops charging the battery after 2 yrs, I read somewhere that someone said they purchased this battery charger and it actually charged the battery so I tried it out and guess what? It really works 100% so now I'm very happy and I ended up saving $150. So 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I bought this battery for my Canon Vixia HF G40 camcorder. According to Canon's own manual they state that if you DON'T use an original Canon battery for this camcorder the battery life will not appear in the OLED screen or view finder nor will it charge properly in the Canon CG-800 battery charger.Canon is wrong on both counts. Not only does this battery work in the CG-800 charger but the battery life will display in the OLED screen and viewfinder with the remaining recording time in minutes right next to the battery icon. With the original battery and this generic battery I don't have to worry about running out of battery before my project is complete.I never buy electronics unless I can swap batteries. So that leaves out iPhones and tablets.

Bought one battery, along with the wall charger, around a year back for my Canon HF-G30. No issues at all in that time. Will likely order more.
