I've had bad luck when trying out handlebar bags because they were difficult to fit on my bike with the old school side-exit Shimano brifter cables blocking front access. Yeah, I still have those on some bikes. This one fits reasonably well, though it does lose some capacity as the bag rests on the brake cables behind the bag, making the bag sort of fit around the cables rather than sitting in front. A hard-shell burrito bag could avoid that problem; I'll be trying one of those out soon, and hopefully it won't get foiled by the brifter cables. Kind of makes me wish I had a road bike with wireless shifting and totally hidden hydraulic disc brake lines, but I'm still on cable rim brakes and cable shifting. My recent switch from a Garmin head unit mount on the stem to an out front mount makes the zipper for this difficult to open all the way, but it's doable. Now I get why some burrito style bar bags have side access rather than top or front zipper access. Even with the out front mount in the way, I was able to access my bag of snacks with the bag unzipped halfway. The bar bag also limits the type of light I can mount underneath the outfront mount. I previously used a flash-light type of front see-by and be-seen light, but with this bag I'd have to switch to a horizontal/pack-of-gum type of be-seen light.Overall, I like the size, simplicity and overall design of this bag, except for the use of velcro--I hate velcro due to snagging on clothes. I suppose if this bag were to stay on the bike all the time, it's no big deal, set it and forget it. But I'm used to moving a saddle bag with tools/spares from bike to bike. At least the velcro is quite beefy and holds the bag very securely; a lot of other bike bag velcro is pretty poor quality and fails, either stitching coming away from straps, or the loop piece wearing down to uselessness. One minor improvement might be to add a belt loop for a be-seen light. The bag sits below bar level so you could use a bar-mounted be-seen light, but some lights' bar mounts could mess with this bag's positioning options, especially if you also have a bell on the bars, which I do as seen in the pix (an Oi bell).Other suggestions like side access and a rigid back are too far beyond this bag that is intended as a "simple bar bag", so I won't ding it a star for not having those features.

When the ALMSTHRE Handlebar Bag first arrived I was a little suprised at the size of it. I honestly thought it was going to be larger. But it was my fault that I didn't read the dimensions before I ordered it. As far as the bag itself goes, this thing is super tough. The material and the zipper are totally waterproof. You could fill this with rocks, throw it in a deep lake, fish it out a week later and I think the rocks would still be dry! This bag has multiple ways to attach it on your bike or wherever you want to use it. The velcro straps look and feel as though they would last 50 years. The stretchy fabric covered rubber ties are super strong. There are also some loops attached to the sides for hooking things on or to. It is a handy thing that will last a lifetime. For my purposes I will keep this one but I will also be getting something larger.
