The tool I received was dull, greasy and rusted. Cannot recommend.

I received the item in a plastic bag, and looks different from the real picture.I am not sure if I received the original item!

These are great cutters. The joint is so sooth and the cutting edges mate perfectly. They're so tough you can grip thick hardened wire in the jaws, set the cutter head down on an anvil and pound the other side with a hammer. Not that I recommend it, but they'll take just about any kind of abuse you can throw at them. They're practically indestructible!

Knipex makes the best pliers and this one is no exception.Be warned that unlike other end cutters from Knipex, Channelock and other brands, these cutters in particular cannot be used for anything else but for cutting wire. You won't be able to use them as a hammer, or to remove nails, or even to help you twist wire.
