This fuel pump looks and functions like the original fuel pump that came with my first generation SV650. After sitting for a long time, the original pump stopped working and this replacement pump bolted in place with the same inlet and outlet size openings. On the first gen SV's, the fuel pump was designed to scavenge fuel from the bottom of the fuel tank, which is lower than the carburetors. My SV isn't on the vehicle application list, but it works for me. I can't speak to the longevity of the part, but I will update this review if anything changes.
