I’m pleasantly surprised by how comfy this pillow is. It doesn’t overwhelm the bed and is a good length (I’m 5’5” and it could be positioned well for +/-6 inches in height). Firm but not too firm.That said, the fabric on the pillow almost undermines all the good qualities. It feels like the cheapest, roughest cotton you could find at a Target or Walmart. It’s giving construction paper, not soft or cozy. The stiffest cotton tshirt you can think of would be softer.

I ordered this pillow mainly because it is one of the few pregnancy pillows out there that is made of cotton. When I received the pillow, I could tell just by touching it that it was cheap polyester, and not 100% organic cotton as described. I checked the tag to find that it is 100% polyester. The fabric felt cheap, rough, and I knew it would make me hot like polyester usually does, especially in the hot summer months. Unfortunately, the pillow was not as described and went back.

Update: I felt compelled enough to come back and re-review this. While I stand by my previous review when I wrote it at the time, I was also not as big and uncomfortable as I am now (so please take that into account). I've been having back issues so I need something in between my legs, which this pillow provides. I took a break from using this and used it again a few nights ago. I slept horribly. I don't know why or what happened, but getting bigger definitely made things more uncomfortable and I could not for the life of me figure out how to get comfortable with this pillow. The two ends were much too bulky for me (and mind you, I'd used this already and slept fine with it). I kept trying to fix it but it just felt too firm. I finally threw it on the floor that first night and tried again the second. Second night, same thing. Also the thin part still didn't work for me even now that my belly is bigger. I don't lay right on this. It's like you have to be a certain height for it to work. I now only use it when I'm on the couch but for my nighttime sleep, I took out the one I used during my first pregnancy and haven't had an issue since.During my first pregnancy, I used another pillow that was much bigger and bulkier. I liked it but it took up so much space on our bed. This time around, I really wanted something that was still big that my whole body can hug, but not as intrusive. I also have some pretty bad back issues this time around so it needs to give me enough head support.This boppy pregnancy pillow has been working well for me so far. I'll admit that I was so confused on the right way to use it the first couple of nights. I couldn't seem to get myself comfortable. The woman in the listing photo looked like she had her belly positioned on the thinner part of the pillow. I realized that my belly is not yet that big so once I get to that point, I'll need that portion below my belly (I used to use a wedge during my first pregnancy since my belly front faces and I have a gap with my hips).The feel of the pillow itself is not soft. I wish it was. I punched it down a few times as it's a bit on the firmer side but still scrunchy/cushiony enough to position myself well on it (I hope that makes sense). I don't plan to add any covers to it, at least not now in the summer since it keeps me cool on hot nights. I'm able to use the thicker part as my head pillow and still put my arm under it, as I always do with my pillow. I've slept nicely with it and I feel quite comfortable. It's also nice to position it on the couch when I'm watching tv for some extra support.I like this pillow and I'm glad I got to try it as I was ready to pull out my monster pregnancy pillow from last year!

Its sooo fluffy!!!! This thing is heaven! It holds its shape very well and is super supportive and incredibly uncomfortable! It’s easy to throw in the washer and dryer and comes with a travel storage zipped case. I always wanted one and am super happy I got one, it’s everything I hoped for! Every mama to be should have one!!!
