Tried many a different pads, Bosch is where it's at. Good feel, stopping power, and clean wheels. Lasts quite a long time.

I bought these brake pads believing that they would my 2014 Mazda 3 in the rear as the description and Amazon claimed. I have high regards for the Bosch brand which was a factor in my decision to order these. However, when I had the car taken apart and was about to install the new brake pads, it was clear that these pads are not compatible with my car. The hardware is significantly different and the shape of the pad is also different than the Mazda pads. I had to go to the dealer and buy brake pads. The cost was double, but it was a perfect fit. In the photo I posted you can see the Mazda pad on the top with the factory hardware and you can see the Bosch brake pad on the bottom with the provided hardware. They are very different. I would not recommend buying these pads unless you are sure they are going to fit. Though I couldn’t tell you what they are for….

I purchased a hard to find 2015 Mazda 6 with a manual transmission. It had 62,000 miles on it. So within a short period of time the brakes needed to be replaced. Instead of paying $1,000 for the dealer to replace the brakes on this vehicle. I did my research and I purchased the rotors and the pads from Bosch. Negotiated a deal with my Mazda dealership to charge me labor only, when the car had about 80,000 miles on it. With the Bosch rotors and pads for all four wheels only costing about $250 from Amazon, and adding the $400 in labor from the dealership. I got the job done for $650 versus $1,000.The car now has about 180,000 mi on it. And I finally had to replace the original Bosch brakes. With another set of Bosch pads and rotors. That means in essence I got almost 100,000 mi on the original set of Bosch brakes that I purchased before.Could you save some money by just replacing the pads and resurfacing the rotors? Yes, but I basically found it's a waste of money. One time I did that, I got warping in the rotors again within 20,000 miles of just having the rotors resurfaced. So if I replace pads I'm going to replace rotors, that's my new rule.Stop, before you say my dealership probably wouldn't do labor only, it's probably because you haven't asked them to. You see at dealerships the parts department is a profit center by itself, and the service department is a profit center by itself. So using your own parts of high quality like Bosch, your service center will probably consider and most likely be willing, to put your parts on, as long as they are new parts, which I always leave in their original packaging. They are most likely to put them on the car for just labor only. Why I don't go to brake shops for such things, is because I can't be guarantee the quality of the parts that they will use to be put on my car. Yes, their charges might be cheaper. But that also means in order to make a profit they have to use cheaper quality physical products. Don't want that on my car.
