An impact driver is intended for use where a real force is needed to push/screw the items in. This driver will certainly put a screw in to a tight spot where other screwdrivers might falter. The downside to that is it could also wreck the head or shear the screw off whilst you work too.The set does not come with any batteries, chargers or bits. This isn't uncommon with the professional sets as one might already have a range of batteries from other tools. It is of course needed to have a working and charged battery before using. The blue range is /not/ officially compatible with the green range, the batteries are intended on providing more power.

£188.99 as reviewed, before I received this I had been quite happy with my Makita impact driver which was in a twin pack with drill and 2 x 5ah batteries for £260. The Makita is an excellent tool for the price but considering what was included in the twin pack is a more basic tool. The Bosch gdr18v-220c is in a totally different league, firstly it is much more compact, the motor housing is much slimmer and shorter than most other impact drivers, very useful in confined spaces yet it is capable of 220 nm of torque. Speed control with 3 settings as well as the variable speed trigger and a choice of 2 settings for how fixings are driven in. 2 LED lights to illuminate the work area from different angles, one handed bit insertion. A really well thought out and designed tool plus you can add a Bluetooth module so you can connect it to your phone! Not sure why you would want to though.
