I've used these for many, many years in offices and have found they are even useful around the home. They are great in the kitchen to remove cardboard liners from lids so you can recycle the jars. You can use them in most every room for something or other, such as removing flat push pins. I don't recommend using them as a screwdriver but there are many times when they come in handy.

Best staple remover and pry tool I've found. No moving parts. Nearly indestructible. Works better than the more complex removers. Also doubles a great pry tool. Love the simplicity! Brilliant!

Although it’s a bit strange-looking, this is the best staple remover I’ve ever used! I’m retired now, but worked as secretary/admin assistant for many years. Believe me, I know about the complicated relationship between paper and staples (especially when trying to remove the staple).The Bostitch Premium Chrome Staple Remover does a clean job of removing staples from a few or a lot of sheets of paper, with minimal damage to the paper. Not like those removers that look like saber-tooth tiger jaws -- by the time they finally get the staple out, the paper looks like it was chewed on by a large toothy cat.And it’s good for other things too! It also is a very handy small tool for use around the house. I use it anywhere I need a bit of *leverage* — opening packages, persuading a tough bottle cap to come off, etc. Think of it as a verrry small pry bar tool.At about $4 apiece, it’s a bit pricey. But for me it’s worth it to have a small tool that has “saved my bacon” more times than I can count (both at home and office). I have several of them stashed around the house (kitchen, bathroom, home office). It’s durable, too — I still have my original one… 30 years later! BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE: it even removes staples!
