These have become my go-to for adding suspender buttons to most pants. They look good on jeans, moleskin, corduroy, hunting pants, etc. I wouldn't use them for thin wool dress pants--the look wouldn't be right. These are much easier to attach then sewing on an old-school button: just jab your pants with an awl, push the screw through the hole, and screw on the button. They are also superior to the hammer-on rivet-style buttons that are often used for jeans/dungaree suspender buttons. Those are both too tall, and they can be surprisingly hard to hammer on without messing them up.However--these buttons do fall off in the wash or even on a walk (has happened to me several times), unless you dab a little Loctite on each connection. Simply get some Loctite (I recommend Loctite 243, which is better for stainless/nickel and other non-ferrous metals like these), and use a sewing needle (or a cellphone SIM card tray pin, or other thin needle: toothpick would work too) to dip in the Loctite and then swirl on the inner threads of the button. Doesn't take much. Clean off the top of the button with a rag so you don't get Loctite on your pants, then screw buttons on and wait overnight.Sounds like a lot of work? Try sewing buttons on your pants some time! This is 4x faster and lasts forever (and I do mean forever--once you've Loctite'd these, you'd have to crush/destroy the button pretty severely to get it off).If I could find a version of these that were a few mm less tall, that would be great. But these are the least tall I've found.

This is an easy way to shrink your jeans waistband by 1-2”. Easy to install. Does not damage the material. Have not had problems with loosening during washes. Perfect fix!

Had to fix a button on a pair of jeans, so I figured I would try these. They work well, take a few minutes to add on but get the job done and look good. Can't complain.
