purchasing process and delivery were fine. nice looking clamps, as appearance was important to me on my aquarium hoses, but a lot of these clamps stripped when I was trying to tighten them, and I did not open them too far as they were going on a 3/4" hose. I would probably not purchase again

I used these for the intake hose on a small carburetor. I wanted more narrow, automotive style with the raised teeth but these worked find & look nice. The screw action is smooth on these & they easily fit & clamped tight to my 40mm pipes. The black coating is uniform & did not flake or scratch from tools but the thin edges of the straps look a bit shiny like they may have scaped together in the box.

The hose clamps seem to have a durable pain coat on them, so if you want black, this is probably the best way to go. But if you are used to using a standard size nut driver like the rest of your hose clamps, then these will throw you off. 7mm is needed for the diameter that I bought, or a straight-blade screwdriver. I'm not a fan of using a screwdriver, since they're usually at a position that won't allow good enough access without slipping, and it's too slow. So add a metric nut driver to your arsenal of drill attachments if you want to use these. They also seem a bit thinner sheet metal than others that I generally use, but they seem to be holding fine.

I purchased these to make my truck's air intake look not so cheap. It did the trick.

They are okay, they are basically silver metal clamps with a coat of black paint. The paint can scratch off pretty easy (with a fingernail). I was also surprised that these have a 9/32 or 7mm hex head, most clamps I've used like this usually have a 5/16 hex head. This 9/32 is an odd size to have in your nut driver line up. Otherwise than that I am pretty happy with the product pre-installation. If they don't work well or I have issues I will update this review.
