I’ve been wanting one of these for a long while and kept holding off out of being a pure scaredy pants but finally took the plunge with this and I’m so happy I did! Great value, build quality feel legit and solid and the fit for my Bowen amount is perfect. It’s easy to use!

The Bowens Mount Spotlight Conical Optical Snoot Kit is a must-have accessory for any photography studio. The conical snoot design allows for precise control over light direction, making it easy to create dramatic spotlights or focused beams. The included optical lens enhances the light projection for sharp, crisp results. This kit is perfect for adding creative patterns or effects to portraits, product photography, or artistic shoots.

Ok this thing has its flaws that are annoying and shot it's price point. There are better ones out there for the same price...but they don't have cutter blades. The cutter blades (4 pictured) allow you to make any shape you wish from 3-4 sides and allows for EASY barndoor'ing without changing gobos and moving the light back and forth and whipping out the gaffing foil.I haven't seen cutter blades on snoots this budget friendly, so for that alone, it's worth four stars. The barndoors can get SUPER THIN and produce decent results if you need a VERY NARROW slit which I like. Now the things that are OFF and may be dealbreakers:1. You turn the gobos from the rear...WHERE THE BOWENS MOUNT IS. Usually snoots have a middle compartment for gobos that turns independently from the mount. This doesn't, so it's a pain and you'll need two hands to mount this to your light, otherwise, you'll just spin the rear mount without screwing it into your light. Be careful. Also another annoyance is it's CLICK BASED TURNING. To be fair, you can rotate and LEAVE this at any angle...but there are CLICKS designated as you turn the gobo shape from the rear rotator.2. The Gobo holder has a springy V clamp to hold the gobo in place. The edge of the V part sticking out GETS CAUGHT on the inner slot...so it's a chore to remove gobos and you'll need a second hand to fish it out often. Also the holder for the Gobo holder is identical to the cutter blade handles and it's easy to get confused and they're RIGHT NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER and often get in the way of each other. They should be spaced out farther.3. The cutter blades are a bit small and you'll have to be careful as you move them, you'll see the edges in your light. Not a huge deal, but wish they were larger and provided a bit more runway before I ran out of blade.4. The focus isn't ring based. You unscrew the tension knob and PUSH/PULL to focus...yuck. It works well enough, but this thing CASTS MULTIPLE SHADOWS. You'll get layered/grid like multiple shadows in your gobo patterns, limiting your focus softening range heavily. You could just "bokeh" out the grid...but YUCK. It's still serviceable, but better snoots will give you SOFT out of focus patterns, not harsh lines with a very narrow sweet spot.5. Hopefully this is common sense, but for people new to snoots, you usually have to get a separate attachment to zoom in and out, or pay out the starfish to get a bazooka snoot that requires its own stand. This, being a budget option, does not zoom, only focus. So if you want a larger or smaller pattern you have to move the light back and forth.6. This is from overseas with no company name...but it reads on the box "Modeling Beam of Light Canister"...LOL.Overall, I really hate the poor soft effect and design choices for rotation/gobo holder placement. But I'll be nice as you get a usable budget option for cutter blades. There are similar priced snoots that I've used with better features minus cutter blades that don't have the above mentioned problems.
