Instrucciones de uso
El Max R.P.M de 1/4 vástago broca de superficie es 18000. Uso en enrutadores CNC y otros enrutadores automáticos, así como enrutadores portátiles de mano y montados en mesa. Por favor, fijarlo a la línea del eje de broca. Insertar el eje en la pinza demasiado poco puede hacer que el eje se doble.
Broca de inserción rentable
La broca de enrutador de superficie utiliza insertos de carburo sólido de 4 lados. Se pueden utilizar los 4 bordes de insertos de carburo, utiliza un destornillador para hacer otro borde de la hoja afuera. Sustituya los insertos de carburo cuando sea necesario, en lugar de reemplazar toda la broca. I will be honest, this was my first wood cutting bits with inserts. I thought it would be more economical as the Chinese surfacing bits with brazed carbide cutting tips didn't last long when cutting hard woods but now I am not so sure. I thought I'd take light cuts (.25 mm) to get the feel of the new bit but the tool chattered and gouged the workpiece. I thought maybe I needed to take deeper cuts so I tried taking a 1 mm cut on a piece of dark cherry. Not but a few minutes into the cut on my 3018 CNC router the tool chattered so bad it knocked my dust boot off, shattering it and sending pieces sailing across the room.Since losing my dust boot I have not used my router or this bit so I can't say much other than I wished I'd purchased a half dozen 1 inch surfacing bits from China instead of this bit with interchangeable inserts. Bad thing was I bought a box of inserts when I bought the bit.If I happen to find out I was not using his bit correctly in will update this review. As a retired machinist I am very familiar with metal cutters with replaceable inserts and thought I wouldn't have any problems. I ran the tool at high rpm and a low feed rate, maybe someone can tell me if I am doing something wrong?After upgrading to an 800w spindle motor the but no longer chatters and leaves a good surface finish so I raised my review from 3 to 5 stars.

I use this in a 1 HP Bosch Colt trim router on a sled and it was melting away pine like a hot knife through butter.I kept my cutting depth low (1 mm depth of cut) with slow passes (I didn't clock my speed, or kept it regular) no wider than half the diameter of the bit (45%-50% stepover). I set the speed at 18000 RPM.With a more powerful router you can take deeper passes and work faster, but keep your passes narrow if you want a clean surface that requires less sanding. You will see visible cut marks with each pass, but they can't be felt with your hand and are removed with a very light sanding.ALWAYS use eye and ear protection, and it is strongly advised to use a good respirator as surfacing anything creates a huge mess.I can't speak for the longevity of the bit, but you can turn, and change, blades when they get dull.On the 1/4" shank, 1" diameter bit, the head of the bit from the K-mark to the cutter is 28mm.

Exactly as expected given the price. For light use this is a great tool if used properly. The build quality isn't great and the included tool was a loose fit but it still retains its functionality. Where this review differs is in an unexpected use. In the market of high speed hobby type cnc routers such as the X-carve by inventables, there are few tools for cutting aluminum successfully (let alone facing operations). The closest tool available for facing aluminum on a high speed spindle off the shelf would be the Datron stepped two flute cutter which is upwards of $100. With a few slight and easy modifications this tool can mimic the job done by real face or fly cutters that are 4 times its price in aluminum. This absolutely should not be done without proper consideration for personal safety but the lack of literature on the subject is reason enough for me to point out this possibility. I would have no problem using this as intended in woods and manufactured wood products like mdf.*A couple safety precautions for this kind of tool*1. Acquire and use personal protective equipment ie. safety glasses and/or an enclosure on a hobby cnc2. Before each use check both insert mounting bolts for tightness and ensure both inserts are firmly held into their recess. This eliminates the issue of loosening inserts mid op.

This bit helped me realize that my 3 phase spindle was wired wrong. It wouldn't cut worth a crap and I couldn't figure out why. I noticed which way it was going when it spun down once and realized it was going the wrong way!Overall though, it's an excellent tool. There's a reason professional machine shops use cutters with replaceable carbide cutting surfaces. A set of inserts is CHEAP compared to a new solid carbide tool, and you can get multiple uses out of a single insert by rotating it. I LOVE that there is a company selling this style tool to the hobbyist. Some of my shop's Kenametal and Sandvik indexable facemills cost as much as my entire hobby machine!
