Our syrian hamster loves this thing. We see him dig around in it everyday. We have the large size and it's the perfect size. It's nice because it's enclosed so it prevents the sand from getting all over the place. Works well!

Super sturdy container.The lid fits snugly.Like others mentioned,we also had to file down a small pc in the door,didn't take much effort- but maybe double ck quality control.Definitely worth price. But our Hamster does not spend time in it at least while we are watching. A quick dig around & out he comes. Does not potty in it.I agree that the slotted spoon needs to be a little longer.We bought the large for our Teddy Bear- perfect size.

I admit it - I was very skeptical about getting my son's Syrian hamster a litterbox. But I was getting grossed out cleaning his cage and noticed that he always peed in the corners. So, I thought - why not? Let me tell you - not only does he ONLY use this litterbox now (which I placed in one of his pee corners), but his cage (and him) smell SOOO much better. I bought the clumping litter, but when it ran out I used sand in a pinch. He liked the sand, so I think I will just keep using that and save some money.

This works much better for us as our hamster likes to kick out the litter in the other container we have. She seems to like this one too. Only gave 4 stars because the top doesn't click on to the bottom and would pop off if we didn't have it located under a climbing bridge to keep it in place.

I was a little skeptical to buy this because I was unsure if my hamster would use it but after placing it in his cage for a few days, I saw that he used it. It is now a little litter box where he does most of his business making his cage easier to clean. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because the lid is a little bit lose and falls off when you pick it up.
