This item says it's made in the USA but it was shipped from India. There are no labels of any kind on the product or the packaging. it came wrapped in a vacuum sealed bag and when opened and unfolded, we found live brown ticks. I believe this product is fradulent. I ordered it from Ontario, Canada - don't know if an American would have the same issue.

Write up description says the duvet is washable, yet the care tag on the duvet says Dry Clean. I have asked for clarification from the company but have heard nothing back. Misleading description!

I've used the same (approx $35) comforter from Amazon for the last several years. When it would inevitably wear out after 18 months I would just purchase a new one since the cost was low and it was easy.The Buffy was a game changer. I typically don't use a duvet or sleep with a top sheet and having Buffy's soft fabric on my skin is amazing. It keeps me warm without getting too hot in the middle of the night and getting thrown to the floor. Compared to my other comforter it is more plushy, yet still lightweight and much more breathable. The edges feature a beautiful gusset all the way around with a sort of shiny satin trim that elevates the experience. It's the kind of quality home item I want to keep around and take care of because I don't ever want it to be a throw away. If you're considering an upgrade to your sleep experience - look no further!

PACKAGINGLoved the slim, space-efficient packaging. The Buffy comforter comes in a simple, cardboard box much like a pizza box. Inside, the Buffy is vacuum sealed, so you know that you’re the first one to come in contact with it since the factory and that it hasn’t been rubbing around against the inside of the box. Cute designs on the inside, too!MATERIALThe comforter itself feels so lush once you take it out. The outer layer is incredibly smooth and makes you want to bury your face into it. It was able to “decompress” and usable almost immediately. I fanned it a couple times to give it some shape.SLEEPINGI would call this a medium-weight comforter. In the coldest of winter nights, unless this thing is wrapped tightly around your body, I would not count on it keeping you totally toasty. That being said, this is what made it perfect for me - I run hot and the Buffy really does somehow have a “cooling” effect to it. My heat is able to escape, the temperature of the comforter itself is well-maintained, and I don’t sweat! All in all, this made it a big winner in my book, even beyond the soft luxuriousness of it.ENVIRONMENTAL FEELSLastly, I really love that Buffy has gone out of the way to use sustainable materials to make their comforter. It shouldn’t be a reason alone to buy it, but the fact that they can construct Buffy to this level of comfort with the use of landfill bottles makes me feel good about myself and my purchase decision.Definitely the right product for someone looking for a suuuuper comfortable mid-weight comforter. They live up to their promise!

Writing with an update one year later. I noticed there were questions about washing the buffy comforter. We did have some redistribution of the eucalyptus stuffing, but if you partially dry it and then air dry it the rest of the way it'll dry as soft and fluffy as it was when it arrived. I also want to say that it is so soft, and gets softer with age, that we have still not put a duvet cover on it. But now that I know Buffy makes duvet covers, I will absolutely look into purchasing one! This comforter got me through a super hot, super humid summer, keeping me cool at night. I really can't recommend enough.I bought this comforter a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. A friend recommended it to me, so I figured I'd give it a try. I seriously cannot say enough positive things about this comforter! The whole customer experience, from the moment I ordered it, to its arrival, was delightful. The tone of the correspondence is conversational and fun, and the branding--down to the package the comforter arrives in--is sleek, beautiful, and bright. A real joy. When I opened the package, the comforter expanded to its full size within moments, and a pleasant, light fragrance of eucalyptus wafted out of the bag. The outside fabric is so soft, and keeps getting softer. The filling is so light and fluffy that it literally feels like sleeping in a cloud, and yet it keeps us super warm and temperate at night. We originally bought this comforter to put inside a duvet cover, but it's so soft and lovely that we've ditched the duvet and started sleeping under our Buffy alone. The fragrance fades super quick, if you're worried about that. As if you needed more reasons to get behind this comforter (aside from the price point, the customer service, and the overall quality of the product), I feel so glad knowing I'm supporting a company that is actively innovating eco-friendly solutions to textile production. Go buy this comforter!
