It's designed for a pool, but it really is heavy duty. We took it on a 6 mile river run, and it did great. I was hoping to use it myself, but I got the small/medium size, and it was just a bit too snug for me (5'7", 195 lbs.). Great for thinner adults and children. Passed it on to someone else in the group and they did just fine with it. The river was low and rocky in spots, but the float did just fine.It is almost way more than what is needed for pool use, but that's why it costs more than your standard pool float. It is actually a beautiful float that I could see someone using it as an outdoor decor piece - maybe on the side of an above ground pool, or on the wall in a pool house.

Braided cord handles attached with chrome rings, unique designer colors, a handy hanging tab and thick, premium vinyl are what sets this “Cadillac of pool rings” apart from the dollar store variety. It’s very much on the pricey side, but it’s the perfect float for those with high end in-ground pools who are looking for something different and a bit more upscale. There wasn’t a vinyl patch kit included with this pool ring, which is surprising since most budget vinyl floats and rafts include patch kits.

In my haste, I will sometimes order things, without looking over the description or specifications.. or price.So I was wildly surprised when I looked at the order info later on and saw this is not your average, five dollar pool inflatable. In fact it is much more expensive than I could have guessed. I opened it’s box and I immediately knew why it costs what it does. This float is like top of the line quality, not to mention style. I got some 50’s vintage glam vibes right away. The material and style is first class. I was impressed and obviously I had to know more, so I googled Business & Pleasure Co. and oh, wow. All of their pool, beach and home items are classy and a throwback to a 50’s Coney Island style. Which is probably why I was attracted to it. I love the style, as well as, the design of it. I ordered a L/XL size and it definitely is LARGE-that along with the handles, make this perfect for floating and kicking back on a river or the springs, which we have here in Florida. The float is made of high quality and very thick an durable materials. This lovely lady will last for a long time and I will be sure to take special care of her. I do like that there is even a little hook to make hanging and storage easier. Quick and easy to inflate, like I said this is perfect for a trip down river, your next pool party or to the beach! I love lounging and tanning on it in our pool. I highly recommend this float-for the quality, it will last. I am eyeing a pop up beach tent and cooler to match!

We have two teen daughters who love the pool. Last year, I bought 6-8 floats. This year, we only had 1 float that didn't have a hole in it. I ordered this Business & Pleasure Co. Classic Pool Float, in hopes of maybe starting a collection of pool floats that will last.Fast forward to just two weeks of pool time, and this is one of two that are still usable. At the time of this review, this float is priced at $99. Listen, I know that is a pretty penny for a pool float, BUT this is not your average float. We have a couple other outstanding outdoor items from Business and Pleasure, so I decided it made sense to try it. I am so glad I did.The first thing that sets this float apart is the quality and density of the plastic. This float is made from a heavy grade plastic that looks and feels durable. The outer "seams" are about 1/8" all the way around. That means that the pressure is distributed across a larger area to increase the strength of the seams. Secondly, the handles are reinforced with a nylon rope that is woven into the handle. This makes it easier to carry, as well as to hold onto. Lastly, the design of the float is nicer than any other float we have ever had. The striped pattern is traditional, but the color choices are unique. It is an xl tube, so it will accommodate most any adult sized human. If you are thin, there is plenty of room without feeling difficult to stay in. If you are little more plump, there is adequate room to get in and out of the tube without getting stuck.If you are looking for a stylish, nicely sized, high quality pool float, look no further than Business and Pleasure Co.

I have several items from the brand Business & Pleasure Co., and am a fan of their products. This classic pool float is a fun find!I love the overall look of this float. It definitely has vintage vibes and looks cool in the pool.The large size of the float also makes it perfect for adults.The rope handles add to the vintage cabana look, and they are helpful. They are strong and securely attached.The vinyl used for this float is very heavy-duty and thick. NOT like inexpensive blow-up floats you find at discount stores that only last one use. This float is high-quality and was made to last more than one season in the pool.The float inflates easily with an electric pump (not included). There was no patch included with the float, but we keep a supply of patches on hand if needed, so I wasn't too worried about that.When I first took this float out of the manufacturer's box, there was what looked like white scuff marks on many areas of the navy pool stripes - as shown in my photos. I'm not sure if this is part of the design to make the float look vintage, or not.The white and navy are classic colors and look very retro. I do wish this float were available in white and aqua stripes and in white and yellow stripes - those would be my preferred colors and would coordinate better with other Business & Pleasure Co. products I have (like my most favorite white and yellow beach cooler). I'll keep watching to see if this company comes out with these other colors - if they do, I'd buy them in a heartbeat.This pool float has become the favorite one we have among my family. Looks like I need to buy at least one more! I highly recommend this float!
