I purchased this as a go to camera when my Sony pocket camera batteries are no longer available. This camera comes with two batteries which should thke care of that problem for a long time

Bought this camera as a gift for my father as he is older and I thought it would be easier for him to use. He struggles with it frequently, wish I would of gotten him a different one! It’s just a ok camera.

I love this shirt pocket sized video/still picture camera. We do not own smart phones and this camera, even though designated for kids, is just perfect for us. It is perfect for hiking, picnics, family snapshots, documenting stuff and even doing AMAZON reviews. I think kids would have no trouble using it and playing with the special effects and other options. The box contains an owner's manual with sufficient text and illustrations, separate charger device with USB type A (allows charging the spare battery while using the other battery - both include), type C camera to PC to transfer pictures and videos, 32GB miniSD, an adapter which accepts the miniSD and can use a PC SD port (for transfers), hand strap (use it - can save a drop) and a carry bag for the camera.Normally I am a manual reader before doing anything with a new product. However, in this case I put the battery in the charging adapter and plugged it in. When the fully charged light came on, I plugged in the battery and the miniSD card, found the power button, turned it on and started snapping pictures. It only took a few moments for me to find the menu options - setup - stills - video. Then I read through the owner's manual (hahaha). The manufacturer did a great job anticipating the defaults for easiest use. There were features and options I would never have imagined to be included in such a small "kid'" camera. This camera will replace my much heavier and larger 13 year old DVD video/microSD photo camera for all of those occasions when a simple pocket-sized camera would be more convenient. The on-screen menu options have explanatory text and easily identified icon function images. I am very impressed with all of the features and options. Examples for still pictures: Resolution (10M to 48M). Exposure (bright sun to no light (auto exposure is adequate)). White Balance (auto, sun cloudy, florescent, tungsten). Quality (super fine, fine, normal). Sharpness (sharp, normal, soft). Special Effects (normal, B&W, sepia, red, green, blue, sunset, warm tones). ISO (auto, 100, 200, 400). Anti-shake (very nice). Face detect. Smile Detect. Mode (auto, night, portrait, landscape, back light, sport (action), party, beach). The video options are also feature-rich. Example: Movie Size (2.7K 2688x1520, full-HD 1920x1080, HD 1280x720, VGA 640x480). Time-lapse...Motion Detection...other similar options like the photograph function.Auto-focus works perfectly. As you aim the camera around, it will adjust the focus on the screen. For photos, it allows you to aim and compose and when ready: press the shutter button - see yellow square on the screen - when it turns green - press a tiny bit harder to snap the picture (you will hear a shutter sound effect).File transfer to a PC is as simple as plug-n-play - type C cable included. Connect the USB cable - the camera will detect the operating system and let you choose between picture and video. The PC file manager will reflect the USB device and contents. All of the pictures attached to this review were taken with this camera, except the 2 of the camera itself.Notes on the pictures:- living room - note the depth of field - sharp image of both closeup and distance items.- outdoor scenes - taken near dusk with natural lighting.- darkish indoor - taken with all lights off except the camera light - note how the auto-exposure activated for the low light and the auto-focus clearly captured the clock and security camera screen. The camera light is best for closeups-portraits-etc.- sample user manual page reflecting simple text and illustrations.I recommend this camera for those who would like a pocket-sized camera that focuses (no pun intended) on video and camera functions. Those with smart phones can take pictures and videos with various options similar to this camera but cost a lot more - and do a lot more besides photography.

This is a decent camera for a kid to use, but definitely NOT for any serious type of use. The picture quality in perfect lighting is pretty decent, but in low light the quality degrades significantly! The autofocus also seems to take a significant hit in low light as well. And the color balance in low light is nearly nonexistent. It almost looks like low light shots were taken in black and white. There is no optical zoom, it is all digital. There is no lens cover, so you can easily scratch the glass in front of the lens. Then, if all of that doesn’t convince you, several times already the OS froze up and I had to eject the battery to restart it. So, if you’re wanting a throw away camera for your kids, this would be a decent choice. However I would strongly recommend spending another $50-70 to get a Nikon CoolPix or Canon PowerShot for a significant quantity improvement. Will update this review if I run into any other problems or longevity issues.

This camera also offered in pink. I have it too and have reviewed it before this one. Since this is the same camera as the pink one, this review is going to be pretty much word-for-word minus some minute differences. The baby blue shade is very eye pleasing. The chrome accents give it a nice edge. It is a nice small camera that can easily be taken on the go with you. This camera comes with absolutely everything you need to possibly start taking photos! This is honestly worth the price of the camera alone. In the package you get all of these goodies:- 1x 48MP Digital Camera- 1x USB-A to Micro USB 3' cable.- 1x USB-A to USB-C 3' cable.- 1x 32GB Micro SD card.- 1x Micro SD card adapter (adapts to standard SD)- 2x 3.7V 700mAh Lithium Ion batteries. (CAS. NP-6L)- 1x External Battery Charger- 1x 2-Prong AC adapter to USB-A wall plug.- 1x Microfiber drawstring carrying pouch.- 1x Wrist StrapThis is really a nice kit for the money, despite the lower quality of the camera itself. It may not be geared towards professionals, as advertised it is "for kids" (slightly paraphrased). However, it is a nice camera to easily carry around in a pocket for quick point-and-shoot shots. The quality is not terrible, but you could probably get about the same quality out of a used cellphone for about the same price and have all of the benefits of a cellphone too.The camera does boast some nifty features. I haven't been able to try them all out yet, but they are great benefits that some camera do not always have built-in by default. Anti-shake is a huge bonus in any camera when you are trying to get the best quality out of your shots or video. Like removing it from post-editing, though, it is intelligently done by expanding your frame and cropping edges to compensate for the amount of movement. There are some other features such as smile detection, face detection, auto focus, and beauty shots, but I didn't mess with those. The LCD screen on it is actually nice and bright. The images appear very crisp on it and vivid in color. It is not touch screen, though, so don't go poking at it. Also, it is fixed in place. So, no viewscreen flipping - which is very important to anyone considering vlogging!I'm not a fan of digital zoom. All it does is expand and crop our pixel ranges, it isn't truly zooming. The lens looks like it would be telescoping - it isn't. It also looks like a nice zoom twist toggle around the photo button on the top of the camera - it isn't. Zooming is done using the common 'W' and 'T' keys above the combo button on the rear pad.It does have a screw-in tripod receiver on the bottom of the camera, so that is always a bonus! So, you can still get stable shots without utilizing the anti-shake features if needed. Combining both actually gets you decent shots. The microphone actually does a pretty good job of picking up sound. It isn't noise-filtering, so you would need to do some tweaks in post, but I am fairly satisfied with the video. Again, it isn't anything professional, but it is good for "home movie" type recordings. You can directly connect this to your computer VIA the USB-C cable connection. As soon as you plug it in the option comes up on screen to use it as a 'PC Camera'. When you select this you will, however, no longer be able to use the viewscreen while connected to the computer. However, it can be used for direct recording to your computer or as a webcam. So, despite being a little bit lower on the end of cameras, this little camera does have some bonuses and benefits going for it. After all, it is not a name brand device. So, what it offers is actually pretty impressive. I believe for a child it would provide hours of endless entertainment and open up words of creativity. The fact that everything you need to get started comes packed along with the camera is a breath of fresh air. This would make an excellent gift for anyone looking to get started in digital photography and a great learning camera. For the price point and everything I got with this camera I certainly cannot complain.
