DS520 has been really useful and a great product. However cable stopped working after limited use but also after a year. Contacted Depstech customer service direct, who were helpful, responsive and positive. They asked for information to support warranty and to confirm fault. Could offer a full refund, a shorter cable (but not a 50ft cable) or a newer DS590 at no cost. The newer version turned up today. Brilliant customer service.

I recently purchased the Boroscope, and I must say, it has completely revolutionized my visual inspections. I work as a forensic engineer so this is a very important tool for me. This device deserves nothing less than a five-star review, and here's why:USB C Charger: The inclusion of a USB C charger is an absolute game-changer. It provides quick and efficient charging, allowing me to power up my boroscope in no time. The versatility of USB C compatibility is a huge advantage, as I can conveniently charge it using various devices like laptops or power banks.Sleek and Protective Case: The boroscope comes with a stylish and sturdy case that not only looks great but also offers excellent protection. It keeps all the components organized and safe during transportation and storage. The well-thought-out design ensures that everything stays in place, preventing any damage or loss.Impressive Screen: The boroscope's screen is a delight to use. The vibrant and crystal-clear display allows for an immersive viewing experience. It provides a detailed and real-time visualization of the inspection area, making it easy to identify and assess any issues. The screen size strikes the perfect balance between portability and visibility, enhancing the overall usability.Convenient Memory Card: I was delighted to find that the boroscope comes with a memory card included. This eliminates the need for me to purchase a separate card and ensures that I can start using the device right out of the box. The additional storage space allows me to capture and store numerous inspection videos and images without worrying about running out of memory. The Boroscope is an exceptional device that exceeds expectations in terms of quality and convenience. With its USB C charger, durable case, impressive screen, and included memory card, it offers a complete package that caters to every user's needs. I am thoroughly impressed with the performance and durability of this boroscope, and it has undoubtedly become an indispensable tool in my toolbox. If you are in search of a reliable, high-quality, and versatile boroscope, look no further than this remarkable product. It will undoubtedly elevate your visual inspections to new heights and provide you with unparalleled convenience. Excellent all-in-one tool for the price! This dual-lens endoscope is IP67 rated, making this highly versatile for different scenarios, even ok for inspecting waterlogged drains and even toilets. The 5” 1080p screen provides sufficient resolution to show the details, and the brightness & color is good for its intended purposes. Although, the quality of the details displayed is not as sharp as, say, an equivalent 1080p 5” screen from a mobile phone, and the contrast level is just OK at best (but at this price point, I wouldn’t expect that either). The amazing part is that it comes with 50-ft endoscope. The semi-rigid cable provides sufficient stiffness to easily push it forward and maneuver to get it through meandering spaces. However, if you need to get into anything that’s greater than 25 to 30-ft, it becomes difficult to maneuver the cable. I find it a bit hard to produce a stable video image while moving and holding the endoscope. So, whenever I need a clear picture, I position the scope onto some surface and completely remove my hand from it, in order to produce a stable video image. With an extremely short focal length (3-10cm for front; 2-6cm for side cam), you can get pretty close to the object being inspected. However, the light source (although fairly good), in close environments can easily induce overexposure of the video image around the outer perimeters (i.e., creating hotspots around the outer edge of the video frame). The video application sometimes has trouble adjusting the exposure. I also find that the front LED lights have trouble illuminating things farther than about 12” away, so I need to move the scope closer instead. You can compensate a bit by adjusting the illumination level between the 3 selectable settings.A useful feature is that you can display the side cam & the front cam in a split screen together. You can also switch the orientation display on the screen 180-degrees to match the camera’s orientation. While the 2600mAh battery is rated for 4 hours; I found that barely lasts over 2 hours; probably because I crank up the display & lights. It’s not an issue as my home inspection tasks rarely ever last longer than 30 minutes.

This scope is well designed and well built. The picture and video quality is great, 1080P. Gives extremely clear pictures over a fairly broad focal length, from very close to distant. Being a stand-alone unit, there is no need to mess with trying to pair it to a smartphone or wireless connections. The screen size works well and the unit is easy to hold while using. The controls are easy to learn and work well to give you a good view. The headlights are adjustable in brightness, so that you can get the right exposure. Having two cameras is a huge plus, allowing you to inspect many things that would be out of view of just a forward looking camera. For example, you can insert it straight down into a gear box and then use the side camera to look around and inspect the gears. You can also send it straight down a pipe which t's into another, then using the side camera, look down each leg of the intersecting pipe. A one camera, forward looking scope could not do that. It comes with a very nice protective case for storage. I have attached several photos as examples, inspecting a flu pipe, cooling coils for contamination, a blower inside of a piece of equipment, plus a solenoid valve buried within a unit. The 16 foot long probe is more than sufficient, longer than anything I will need for my uses. I have purchased and used many borescopes over the years and can highly recommend this one, having two cameras and crystal clear picture quality.
