Fantastic way to have internet from one building to the next! Make sure you get the right length but it works and is as described! This is a great thing to have so you can hard wire from your fiber source aka router and have 98% of that speed transferred from one building to the next! Remember you will lose some of the speed for every so many feet and for every connection such as if you use a splice to extend a cable to make it longer but it shouldn't be noticeable.Overall if you're needing or just wanting a ethernet cable thats capable of being able to be underground for whatever reason, this is definitely a good and viable option, and its something I personally recommend!

This spool of Ethernet cable is a great value and makes installations much easier. I appreciate how well the cable is designed—pliable yet durable, with molded strain reliefs and anti-snag boots that make routing a breeze. The spool itself is a standout feature, making deployment much neater and faster than dealing with a tangled coil.I’ve used this cable to install access points and connect outdoor equipment. It performs well, consistently negotiating gigabit speeds without issue. The UV-rated jacket gives me confidence that it will hold up to the elements. For my use case, it’s been reliable, easy to work with, and cost-effective.That said, this is copper-clad aluminum (CCA) rather than solid copper, which leaves me lacking confidence that it would hold up over time for PoE applications or any installation where maximum reliability is critical. It works fine for general networking but wouldn’t be my choice for long-term buried runs or mission-critical connections. For the price, this is a solid option if you know what you’re getting and use it appropriately.

This cable is made with copper-coated aluminum (CCA) wire, not pure copper. That makes it unfit for purpose and potentially dangerous. Do not buy it.The standards for Ethernet cable require pure copper wire. CCA CANNOT meet any recognized standard for Ethernet cable. That's why this cable is devoid of any Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory marking like UL or ETL. Without that mark, using this cable in a business or industrial environment is illegal in the US, and may be illegal in your home depending on local codes. The cable claims "TIA/EIA 568A/568B" which is nonsensical; 568A and 568B are two different wiring standards and it's impossible for a cable to meet both standards simultaneously. It's a naked attempt to fool people into thinking the cable is standards-compliant.CCA wire has different electrical properties than copper, and thus won't work properly for Ethernet. It's far more brittle than copper, which means it breaks easily. It can break internally from even slight handling, causing it to arc; between that and aluminum's higher resistance than copper, using it for power-over-Ethernet applications poses a fire risk. Generally, if you're looking for outdoor Ethernet cable, you're going to be using it with PoE.This cable isn't suitable for outdoor use, either, and definitely not direct burial as suggested. It's marked "CM" (although not *UL or ETL certified* as CM so who knows), which is limited to indoor use. Type CM cable isn't permitted for outdoor use or direct burial; you need type CMX for that. It's also not approved for use within a wall in commercial environments (type CMR or CMP), never mind in a riser or plenum space. For residential installation, the National Electrical Code specifies type CMX (NEC 800). This cable isn't identified as CMX... nor has anyone confirmed it even meets type CM standards... which it can't, because it's CCA, and no NRTL I'm aware of will certify CCA cable for communications use.Nor is it shielded, which most outdoor Ethernet equipment vendors require for lightning safety. Without the shield, there's no way to drain static electricity to ground except through your Ethernet switch's delicate electronics. There is no use case where this cable is suitable. It puts your safety at risk. Don't buy it, and don't buy products from a vendor that would so badly misrepresent its suitability and applications.
