Lights were just as advertised. They are much brighter than traditional bulbs though. Still a great product for the money.

Provided great light for my outdoor party. Practical for visual safety, but also really nice ambiance.

I picked these up for a little lighting on the patio and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these. I wasn't expecting the bulbs to be THAT bright but they are spaced out enough at three foot between each bulb that they light up the whole patio while not killing your eyes. I got the 60 ft strand that comes with 16 bulb locations, two extra bulbs and two spare clear globes to protect the bulbs from water.These are a much needed upgrade for my new home from the Christmas bulbs strung by the previous owners. These are brighter, more durable, a lot more water proof, use about 1/10th the power of the old Christmas bulbs and look a whole lot classier!I still can't get over the fact they only pull 16 watts but I tested them and they do. They're 1 watt per bulb so if you buy a shorter or longer run, you can figure how much yours would use. As you can see in my pics, they are very bright.The bulbs are protected from rain and ice by the clear plastic globes. They claim they're shatterproof but I'm not willing to take a hammer to one just to find out. I will say that they feel very durable and I can see how they will help extend the life of the bulbs by keeping moisture out and keeping the bulbs from being knocked around in heavy winds.The cord is very durable and thick. Much thicker than Christmas lights and feels very weatherproof. They do come with a plug in the end to add more sets to extend the length but the plug side is not very long, just a couple feet. The nice part is that you can purchase an outdoor dimmer switch separately and be able to adjust the brightness and change "the mood."These have loops above each bulb for hanging. You can use hooks, screws or just a small nail if you want. We're in the middle of winter here, so I have yet to hang them permanently yet. I can't wait to toss the old Christmas lights, hang these up, fill up the hot tub and relax outside!

INTRO:These outdoor string lights will add a beautiful warm glow to your outdoor space wherever you choose to hang them. We chose them for hanging around the perimeter of our 10ft x 10ft backyard gazebo, and along under its roof, from one post diagonally to the other post.PROS:See attached photos - they say a lot about this product. However, please be advised that there is also another set of much smaller lights on the gazebo in the photos that run along the posts and all 4 diagonals of the roof. That said, it should be obvious which lights are the Jerritte ones — the bulbs are much bigger on that string light and give off significantly more light (they’re also spaced out much further).Two extra LED bulbs — they’re S14 bi-pin bulbs.Two extra protective bulb covers (in case you accidentally step on one or some other unfortunate event).All the main bulbs and protective covers were already installed right out of the box. My neighbor had a similar set of string lights and he had to install all of his bulbs himself.All the parts and materials felt quality made and should hold up very well over time — the marketing materials say this product should last through all of the seasons. We live in the Northeast, where we experience all 4 seasons dramatically, so it’s a relief to know I won’t have to ever take these down until I’m ready to upgrade to a newer set down the road.At 100 lumens per bulb, for a total of 1600 lumens, this set was plenty bright for lighting up our backyard gazebo and the space around it.CONS:This lighting kit contained nothing to hang the string lights up with. Thankfully, I had plenty of my go-to favorite, thin Velcro strip ties, to go around. I have to take a 1/2 star off this review for not, at minimum, at least providing the customer with 16 zip ties (1 for each light); which probably still wouldn’t have been sufficient enough to get the job done.The product documentation mentioned that there was supposed to be a cap included to cover the female plug at the end of the line (where you can daisy chain to another set of string lights), but it was nowhere to be found on the product or in the box. Thankfully, we had some baby proof electrical outlet covers in the house, and I used one to prevent any weather elements from getting in the female end. I’m going to take another 1/2 star off for this disappointment and unnecessary safety risk.I had wished the electrical line used was a little bit thicker gauge for peace of mind, however the current gauge is adequate for electrical safety, and also lighter, which you’ll appreciate when having to put them up.The string lights were a tangled mess when I unboxed them - it took me at least 20 minutes of solving that brain teaser before I could begin the task at hand of hanging them up.REVIEW SUMMARY:I love how these lights look in our backyard. I think the attached photos speak for themselves. I feel Jerritte made a big mistake by not including something to hang these lights up with — I’m hopeful they’ll read this review and reconsider how they package this product in the future. In addition to that, it’s shameful, for the safety of my family and our guests, that the safety cap the documentation mentions, was not included when it should have been.
